My husband recently damaged his ankle badly and was on crutches for a few weeks. He’s finally walking gingerly on his sore ankle and the physio has recommended that he walk on the beach with his ankle in the cold water.
The doc says the cold water will bring down the swelling and the action of walking on the sand will strengthen all the small supporting muscles of the ankle.
So now we take daily evening walks in the sunshine and enjoy the views around us. We walk slowly, but it gives us time to catchup with each other and not get distracted by the normal daily stuff that keeps us busy.
This time is soothing, calming and refreshing... I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I am very thankful that we get to experience the life we live and love that the doctor prescribed it!
Were those your border collies? Looks like they know how to tune up sore ankles too.

Ha ha! No not my dogs, but they were having such a good time I couldn’t resist. My chihuahuas will be mortified that I’d didn’t take them along. And just a t-shirt. Actually my husband did make it to NY for a business trip years ago, but I was left at home (that will not happen again).
My daughter’s planning on coming to au pair in the States next year, so who knows, maybe I’ll get to visit 🤩
