I just read about it. Thatβs interesting. I had no idea.
The german name Cantuccini sounds like Italian so I mistook it as an Italian name ;)
From what I saw online, it is an Italian name. It sounds like cantuccini is the real name for that confection, and biscotti is the general name for cookie which often gets misused in America (and maybe other places) when referring to cantuccini.
I see. Now I learnt how to distinguish them π
