How do you get the kids to eat vegetables that are not very favourable?
In our family that is cauliflower. The smell while cooking is the reason why. I love it both cooked and raw. So I wanted to change the kids mindset on the forgotten and not so popular veggies.
Today I made balsamic cauliflower from the oven. The smell is not like when it’s cooked.
You take a big cauliflower and cut off the green leaves and place it on a over plate.
After you wash it.
After it’s on the oven plate you put some water in the plate to keep it moist.
You poor over some oil, I used truffle for the smell. But the taste is also great. Then I used balsamic which we bought in the b&b in Italy this year. While this is in the oven I opened a package of parities white cheese and put that alongside in the oven. I added some salt and some herb and loved in in the oven under 200 degrees celcius and for about 20 minutes.
No smell of cauliflower in the kitchen and the kids do eat it now. It’s a mindset and indeed also smell and taste so go good together !
The cauliflower together with potatoes from the oven and home made tomato soup and meat what a royal looking dish and all was appreciated and we finished it all.
A great compliment for the mum chef !
Hope you like the recipe and if you have questions let me know in the comment section.

I will steal your recipe for changing my daughter mindset about cauliflower I love it but she can't stand the smell
Go ahead I stole it to and was wondering if it would work but it does ! It really does
It looks very tasty! The truffle oil is an excellent choice, on vegetables give that special touch.
That truffle goes with so many dishes it’s lovely but because of the smell of cauliflower and the kids o thought I might try that because truffle sent is also string and they like that in the pasta and when we are in Italy so but it could
Be any oil of choice
What a brilliant idea to use it to cover cauliflower. Which is true, it does smell a bit so-so when cooking. So the kids are happy and eat healthy :).
