Two weeks ago I finally decided to buy a new oven. The buy has been procrastinated for about two years now and with the latest price hikes I knew there's no time to waste anymore. The problem has been the limited space I have in the kitchen, so every time I tried to search for a good oven, after applying the filters, I got 2 or 3 options. I'm not sure what I have been waiting for as the available space will never get bigger and prices won't go lower, unless there's Black Friday, but even then my options are always limited. Anyway, the war speeded things up for me and finally bought my oven.
Setting it up wasn't so easy though. It needed a new electric circuit because of the oven runs on electricity, but in order to do that, the fuse box needed to be changed. Long story short, when the electrician came to do the changes, he needed to move the kitchen furniture a bit and the faucet got damaged in the process, so I needed a new one.
The next morning I went to buy a new one, setting up an appointment with the plumber for later, to get things done. When the plumber got here, there was no water 😂. When I left in the morning, everything was fine, when I got home, there was no water. So the plumber did his thing, set up the new faucet but there was no way to test it, so he went home. After 5 hours!!!!!! we finally got water and when I tried to test my new shiny faucet, had to realize it was leaking. 💧
At that point I had no other choice than to call back the plumber. The guy is a good friend of mine, so he jumped into the car and came right away. Turned out the rubber gasket that came with the faucet was not doing its job, so needed to be changed. So finally I got my oven set up, my faucet changed and got water as well. And after a week, here I am, trying out my new oven, with a nice pizza.
Pizza Recipe
The truth is, I have my pizza recipe for years, but have no idea where it comes from, so to avoid being flagged for plagiarism, I decided to try out a new recipe, which looked good at first glance.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 300 ml lukewarm water,
- 25g fresh yeast,
- 500 g all purpose flour,
- 2 tsp salt,
- 1 tsp sugar,
- 3 tbs olive oil,
source
The original recipe is double portion, but I did not need pizza for a week for the whole neighborhood, so I chose to halved the quantities.
The process is the usual, nothing special about it.
When it come to pizza, I like to make it from scratch as don't like the frozen ones. So I'm using the best ingredients, like olive oil and fresh yeast, to get the best dough.
This is the lukewarm water, to which I added the sugar, then the yeast and let it rise for a few minutes.
After combining all the ingredients, this is the dough I got. The resting time in this case was 1.5 hours, covered, in a warm place.
And voila! After the resting time ended, the dough is doubled.
For the topping I decided to use ham and smoked salami, plus cheese or course. Every year I'm making my own pizza sauce, with is already spicy, no need to use oregano.
Here comes the fun part. I'm always trying to shape my pizza dough nicely and hardly ever succeed.
After adding the hand and cheese on top, it was ready to go into my brand new oven. It needed 20 minutes at 200°C.
This is the other one, with the smoked salami.
So the pizza is delicious and all in all, the oven is great so far. I can't complain. The pizza may not look like the fancy ones you order but it tastes good.
The photos on the other hand 🤦♀ I'm not sure what was the problem but don't like any of it. Need to do better next time 🙁
So, who wants a slice?

Even a pizza from a great restaurant does not look that good !
I cannot wait to try the recipe , i have an amazing oven .
Thank you for sharing this
My pleasure and good luck! Home cooked food is always better, nit to mention the costs 🙂
I used to do my pizzas , but nothing compared to yours , i will follow your recipe in details and show you photos . Thanks 💐
Can hardly wait! Enjoy :)
It looks soooo delicious!! I'm not good at dough making 😌 but yours looks perfect!
Thank you!!! 🤗 Next time I want to make the dough thinner. I love making dough and I'm quite good at it 😏🍕 Will send you some 😜
Ohh that's so nice to hear! I'm sure you're good at it, this pizza dough looks really yummy!
I tried a couple of times but I'm not a fan. I mean a fan of my own dough lol 😂. After a failure, I always keep saying that I must try it harder and learn this stuff cause it's not soo hard but then...it's easier buy a pizza from the city.
Btw, this is one pizza I had 2 days ago. It's a classic Italian pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella (the real one fiordilatte), basil, parmeggiano. YUMMMMMYYYYY!
Whoooo, that looks really yummmmyyy! I can already tell it was made in a real oven, which we don't have. That tastes better.
The truth is it's not so easy to make a good dough, you have to feel it and work it till you get the right consistency. You also need the right flour, so it's not quite easy but you get used to it.
Once I'm a millionaire, I'm going to buy a real oven 😂

I hope you enjoy your delicious pizza 🍕. And congrats once again on your new oven
I did. Thank you!
*Flour. I use 150gr for a large single pizza but I prefer it kinda thin.
😜 Tanks! This is what happens when I'm tired.
You're right, when I'm making one single pizza, with a thin and want it crunchy, 150g is perfect.
The original recipe used 1kg of flour 😵
1 effin kg? Are they fucking serious? I can make pizza for 3 Ukrainian battalions with 1KG of flour :)
I am dead serious. Good thing I'm not a newbie in the kitchen, so I know a thing or two and can decide if it is right or not 🙂🍕
