Se me hace cada vez más interesante acercarme a vivir experiencias estilo foodie, en cada una de ellas veo tantas oportunidades de disfrute y aprendizaje, que bien vale el esfuerzo realizado, ya sea que tenga que comprar determinados ingredientes para realizar nuevos platillos o trasladarme hacia alguna ciudad cercana para disfrutar de un Food Festival, tal y como tuve la oportunidad durante los días 10 y 11 de noviembre.
Contarles sobre toda esta maravillosa experiencia en una sola publicación sería imposible, es demasiado difícil resumir las vivencias enriquecedoras, así que aquí les doy un abrebocas sobre este festival gastronómico que me mantuvo bien animada y activa durantes dos días. Si bien el festival tuvo una duración de tres días, solo pude estar durante los dos primeros, debido a que la fuerte lluvia durante el tercer día me impidió trasladarme de Puerto La Cruz a Lechería para volver a buena hora a mi ciudad.
It is becoming more and more interesting for me to approach foodie-style experiences, in each of them I see so many opportunities for enjoyment and learning, that it is well worth the effort, whether I have to buy certain ingredients to make new dishes or move to a nearby city to enjoy a Food Festival, as I had the opportunity during the 10th and 11th of November.
To tell you all about this wonderful experience in a single publication would be impossible, it is too difficult to summarize the enriching experiences, so here I give you a taste of this gastronomic festival that kept me very animated and active for two days. Although the festival lasted three days, I was only able to be there during the first two, because the heavy rain on the third day prevented me from moving from Puerto La Cruz to Lechería to return to my city at the right time.
Les comento que una de las primeras cosas que me pareció atractiva sobre este evento, fue tener la posibilidad de adquirir la entrada a través de una página web, recibiendo un código QR vía correo electrónico, el cual fue leído en el momento de mi entrada a la plaza El Parque de Lechería, lugar en el cual se llevó a cabo el evento.
Me encantó ver la plaza, la cual he visitado en varias oportunidades y hasta he podido cantar allí, enmarcada con los toldos, foods trucks, mesas dispuestas para los comensales invitados, una gran tarima en la cual se presentaron artistas de la zona e hicieron concursos para el público e invitados especiales, muestra de arte, el espacio para las exhibiciones de Cocina a cuatro manos, los stands dónde preparaban comida al momento y la carpa climatizada para las conferencias.
One of the first things that I found attractive about this event was having the possibility to purchase a ticket through a web page, receiving a QR code via email, which was read at the time of my entrance to the Plaza El Parque in Lechería, where the event took place.
I was delighted to see the plaza, which I have visited on several occasions and have even been able to sing there, framed with awnings, food trucks, tables set up for invited guests, a large stage where local artists performed and held contests for the public and special guests, art exhibitions, the space for the two-handed cooking exhibitions, the stands where food was prepared on the spot and the air-conditioned tent for the conferences.
Pude disfrutar de ponencias y de las exhibiciones de Cocina a 4 manos, algo que nunca antes había presenciado y me pareció estupendo, pues al final de las mismas podías probar el platillo que habían preparado ante tus ojos, de esto les hablaré con más detalle en otras publicaciones.
I was able to enjoy the presentations and the 4 Hands Cooking exhibitions, something that I had never seen before and I thought it was great, because at the end of them you could taste the dish that had been prepared before your eyes, I will talk about this in more detail in other publications.
Estuvieron presentes muchas marcas como patrocinantes y dueños de stands de la talla de los productos de Empresas Polar, McCormick y Ron Santa Teresa. Fue un evento integral y con actividades de todo tipo, pues además de tener acceso a ponencias (gratis y pagas) dictadas por expertos en el área financiera y gastronómica, había oportunidad de participar en actividades recreativas que las marcas presentes brindanban al público, por ejemplo, McCormick ubico un jenga gigante para que los presentes pudieran jugar, también tenían un juego de lanzamiento de aros, de modo tal que si acertabas a algunas de las figuras de sus productos podías ganarlo. Recuerdo estar de paso y escuchar que una niña le decía a su madre:¡Quiero ganar ¿me la salsa BBQ, porque me encanta! Maizina Americana ofrecía una foto - cabina instantánea donde podías obtener estas divertidas fotos, totalmente gratis. ¡Ya sabrás que usé la fotocabina!
Many brands were present as sponsors and owners of stands of the likes of Empresas Polar, McCormick and Ron Santa Teresa. It was a comprehensive event with activities of all kinds, because in addition to having access to lectures (free and paid) given by experts in the financial and gastronomic area, there was the opportunity to participate in recreational activities that the brands present offered to the public, for example, McCormick placed a giant jenga for those present to play, they also had a game of throwing hoops, so that if you hit some of the figures of their products you could win it. I remember passing by and hearing a little girl tell her mother: "I want to win the BBQ sauce, because I love it! Maizina Americana offered an instant photo booth where you could get these fun pictures, totally free. *You'll know I used the photo booth!
En cuanto al networking del evento me pareció bastante interesante, ya que tenían un espacio exclusivo para invitados especiales donde podían degustar determinados platillos, el chef salía a conversar con ellos de vez en vez y también tenían una moderadora que iba tomando las impresiones de los comensales.
As for the networking of the event, I found it quite interesting, since they had an exclusive space for special guests where they could taste certain dishes, the chef came out to talk to them from time to time and they also had a moderator who was taking the impressions of the diners.

Estuvo muy hermoso, es la quinta edicion de este evento y por fin pude asistir, me gustó muchísimo. Lo de la foto cabina fue chistoso jajaja, fui una de las primeras personas en usarla, pues el primer día llegué bastante temprano al evento lol, gracias a ti por pasar y comentar.
