I've passed by this stall many times now yet but I often skipped on it because I'm not a fan of spicy food. Just by looking at the dishes that are ready for the customers to choose from, I guess none of these are fit for me. And with the current weather conditions that we are having, eating spicy food during lunchtime may not be something that will make me more comfortable.
My curiosity led me to order from the Nasa Padang stall today. I've chosen the one that is familiar to me, it's the Fried Chicken set meal.
This set meal allows me to choose one of the vegetable dishes to be added to my plate. Among the ones that I found to be tasty, the eggplant was my top choice. The staff forgot to ask me whether I could eat chili sauce so they simply added it to my plate also. The color of the chili sauce and the amount of crushed chili in it scared me a little bit. It seems that the spice level is on the higher level. Even so, I still tried adding a little bit of it to the chicken and it's delicious!
The one that impressed me the most was the generosity of the service for S$4.50. A nice meal that is served in an air-conditioned food center is considered worth it!
Because of this experience, I can say that I found a stall that I will go to whenever I crave Nasi Padang cuisine. It's a good choice whenever I want to eat something exciting and tasty as well.
