Hello friends, here I am again with a simple Argentine recipe that can get you out of trouble, I love all empanadas, but onions and cheese fascinate me because I once went to the nutritionist to lose weight and she recommended this recipe. So in addition to liking them they make me believe that I am eating healthy! LOL

Hola amigos, aquí estoy nuevamente con una sencilla receta argentina que te puede sacar del apuro, todas las empanadas me encantan, pero las cebolla y queso me fascinas pues una vez fui a la nutricionista para poder bajar de peso y me recomendó ésta receta. Asi que ademas de gustarme me hacen creer que estoy comiendo sano! jajaja

The first thing we are going to do is the only extra preparation that this recipe has, sauté the onion. We are going to cut the onion into julienne strips and sauté it in a pan with oil, we are going to add very little salt and oregano. The texture depends on how you like them, I sometimes caramelize them, but this time I took them a little raw to chew them more and give me a feeling of satiety.

Lo primero que vamos a hacer es la unica preparacion extra que lleva ésta receta, saltear la cebolla. Vamos a cortar la cebolla en juliana y saltearla en una sarten con aceite, vamos a echarle muy poca sal y oregano. La textura es depende como te gustan a tí, yo aveces las caramelizo, pero en esta oportunidad las saqué un poco crudas para masticarlas mas y que me de sensacion de saciedad.

Now we are going to start with the assembly of the empanadas, usually in my house we make the homemade tapas, but today we did not feel like doing anything, so we bought them ready-made.
In the center of the lid we are going to place pieces of cream cheese and mozzarella previously passed through a little flour so that it does not melt and escape from the empanadas.

Ahora vamos a comenzar con el armado de las empanadas, por lo general en mi casa hacemos las tapas caseras, pero hoy no teniamos ganas de hacer nada, asi que las compramos hechas. En el centro de la tapa vamos a colocar trozos de queso cremoso y muzarella previamente pasada por un poco de harina para que no se derrita y se escape de las empanadas.

On the cheese we are going to place the onion. And we are going to begin to assemble the empanada form, starting with testing if they are closed or if it is a lot of filling.

Sobre el queso vamos a colocar la cebolla. Y vamos a comenzar a armar la forma de empanada, comenzando con probar si se cierran o si es mucho relleno.

The form of "empanada" is simple, we are going to close the lid in half. And then we are going to join the two ends, thus forming a "basket" where the filling will be very compact in the center.

La forma de "empanada" es sencilla, vamos a cerrar la tapa a la mitad. Y luego vamos a juntar las dos puntas, formando asi como una "canastita" donde el relleno quedara bien compacto en el centro.

When the shape is done we are going to place them on a plate with just a little oil and we are going to brush them with beaten egg, in this case my little assistant gave me a hand. Also above the egg I grated a little semi-hard cheese

Cuando la forma ya esta realizada vamos a colocarlas en una placa con apenas un poco de aceite y vamos a pincelarlas con huevo batido, en éste caso mi pequeña ayudante me dio una mano. Ademas por arriba del huevo le rallé un poco de queso semiduro
