Indonesian cuisine are very diverse. Now we will cook one of them, namely ungkep catfish. Ungkep is a cooking method, which is braised with aromatic spices and then fried briefly so will create a crispiness of the fishes.
Let's make some easy side dish for our family, simple and tasty.
Ungkep Catfish

Ingredients:
• 1 kg Catfish
• 2 Lime
• 2 pcs Lime Leaves
• 3 Cloves Garlic
• 1 Finger Turmeric
• 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
• 1 tsp Food Flavoring
• 1 tbsp Salt
• Banana Leaves
Cooking Steps:
☞ First of all, wash the fish thoroughly. Cut the stomach and remove all the contents of the fish's stomach. Wash the fish and also clean the gills.



☞ Flus the fish with lime juice, and add lime leaves and leave it for 1 minute. Use it to get rid of the fishy smell. And then wash again the fish for the last time.

☞ Blend garlic, turmeric, coriander powder then mix well with the fish, add salt, food flavoring (if desired) and put 2ml of water.

☞ Ungkep the fishes using banana leaves to give aroma.


☞ Fry the fishes until golden brown
