Merry Christmas to the entire La Colmena family. I hope you are all doing well and, above all, that you have enjoyed spending time together as a family. This Christmas, I had the pleasure of enjoying an evening with my children and husband, featuring Venezuelan food and traditional Venezuelan sweets typical of this time of year.
Among the things we enjoyed was Maltin Polar non-alcoholic malt, a drink that is very popular in Venezuela and is usually accompanied by empanadas and pastelitos.
I also made a chicken salad with potatoes, carrots, peticua, beets, chicken breast, and mayonnaise.
We also had some pasticho at home and the famous Venezuelan hallacas.
We also enjoyed a Chilean red wine called SANTA CAROLINA Coupage. The flavor of the wine is one that pairs well with different flavors in food. We also made ham bread, but I forgot to take pictures and it was too late, but soon for New Year's I hope to make ham bread again and this time I will take pictures of the preparation.

Feliz navidad para toda la familia de la colmena, espero que se encuentren muy bien y sobre todo que hayan disfrutado en familia y en union. Esta navidad tuve el placer de poder disfrutar junto a mis hijos y mi esposo de una noche entre comida venezolana y dulces venezolanos tipicos de esta fecha.
Dentro de las cosas que nos acompañaron fue la malta Maltin polar sin Alcohol, es una bebida muy consumida en Venezuela que la acompañamos por lo general con empanadas y pastelitos.
Tambien hice una ensalada de gallina, con papas, zanahoria, peticua, remolacha, pechuga de gallina y mayonesa.
Tambien nos acompañó un poco de pasticho en casa y las famosas hallacas venezolanas.
Nos acompaño tambien un vino rojo de elaboración Chilena llamado SANTA CAROLINA Coupage. El sabor del vino es un tipo de vino que se adapta a distintos sabores en la comida. Tambien hicimos pan de jamon pero olvidé tomar fotos y fue muy tarde, pero pronto para año nuevo espero hacer nuevamente pan de jamon y esta vez voy a tomar fotos desde la elaboracion.
