Spicy food has recently become very popular in Indonesia, including the simple snacks sold at street vendors that I bought today.
Its name is spicy tofu meatball pentol.
Even though my husband and I can't really eat spicy food because of our stomach problems, we can't refuse to try spicy snacks of any kind. Because it's very appetizing.
In our area, one by one, spicy snacks are popping up, starting from spicy level noodles, claw firecrackers, lava meatballs and including meatball tofu sticks which have only recently become popular.
When we buy this spicy tofu meatball pen, we will be offered the level of spiciness we want, there is a spicy level one tofu meatball pen which tastes not too spicy, and then there is a medium spicy meatball tofu with medium spiciness and god level spicy meatball tofu, because the chili that is needed is very much and of course there are still few who buy this level.
and because our stomachs can no longer accept the spicy taste that is too much, we ordered spicy tofu pentol with a medium spicy level.
Even though we ordered this spicy tofu meatball pen with medium spiciness, the resulting taste was already very spicy...even we who only ordered one portion, we couldn't finish it together. Even to disguise the spiciness, the meatball tofu pentol served as a companion to warm rice for my dinner with my husband
when we ordered the spicy meatball tofu pentol we were also allowed to take pictures of the making.
1. The chilies are stir-fried first without using vegetable oil.
2. After the chili boils, mix a little salt and soy sauce to taste.
3. After that, add tofu and meatballs at the same time and stir until evenly distributed.

cover the meatball tofu for about 3 minutes
5. Spicy meatball tofu is ready to serve and sprinkled with fried onions.
