Greetings all Hive community, today I have a healthy recipe to share with you. In Cambodia, we calls it Cha Sondach. This recipe draws on influences from my family, my ever evolving fascination with how just a few simple ingredients can transform into something that tastes so delicious, and provided a lots of nutrition. This fry you can cook whether it's Thanksgiving dinner or a family gathering, you can't go wrong with this classic casserole. The crispy green beans really take it over the top.

INGREDIENTS 🌿

  • French green beans
  • Garlic powder
  • Oyster sauce
  • Pork
  • Salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Green Beans – Use fresh, vibrant green beans that are firm. To make this fry crispy we shouldn’t use beans that are discolored, soft, or have big bulging pods inside. Then, you can cut your washed green beans in half or 1/3 of each.

Add oil and garlic to your wok or a deep skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Cook garlic until lightly browned. Add in pork. Stir and cook pork until half cooked. Add in garlic powder and salt. Stir to evenly coat meat. Cook until meat is fully cooked. Taste and adjust salt as needed.

Step 3

After stirring it about 3 minutes, pour 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. If you wish your pork to have a darker sauce, you can use dark soy sauce. You may also want to use less of it since it usually has more sodium than low sodium soy sauce.

Next, we add oysters sauce. I use a combination of soy sauce and oysters sauce to enhance the flavor of our recipe. Also, I add about 1 tablespoon, the same amount as soy sauce.

Step 5

This time is important, we have to stir the whole ingredients together in a skillet faster to avoid burning, but if your skillet get stick, just add some water and continue stirring. Then, we got to prepare the green beans.

Stirring another 4-5 minutes until the meat is cooked, then pour all the French green beans into the skillet. Make sure to continue stirring to avoid burning. This step you need to increase the heat and add some water.
You can easily turn whole green beans into this fancy version in just a few minutes. It’s so worth it to get beautiful, flavorful, and fast green beans.

To make these green beans perfectly blistered, add them to the hot skillet and don’t touch them—seriously, just let them sit undisturbed until they’re beginning to brown. After a few minutes, you can give them a stir and they’ll be tender, caramelized, and delicious.

The unique quality about this dish is that the green beans are flash fried. This quickly blisters a thin layer of the skin, causing it to wrinkle. You only need to fry the beans for 1 to 2 minutes, which will keep the center tender and lightly crisp.

French cut green beans are going to make cooking your favorite green bean recipes so easy and beautiful. Green beans are my favorite vegetable to eat. Besides their flavor, I love that they make such a pretty presentation and add a pop of color on any plate.
