Hello everyone, When you come far from home, another thing that you often miss is food. It cannot be denied that food is a factor that makes me happy. Makes me forget about it a bit. And today I will take everyone into the kitchen to cook my traditional food. This is a food that is often eaten in the northeastern region of Thailand, but not every restaurant has this food on the menu. This menu is called Steamed bamboo shoots with meat And today I will eat sticky rice. which will fit together very well.
- First of all, we need to cook sticky rice because sticky rice takes a long time to cook. Before cooking the glutinous rice, you must soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 1 hour because it will make the glutinous rice cook easier and it won't take much time.
- When you're done preparing to cook the sticky rice, go ahead and prepare to cook it. It's hard to find bamboo shoots here, so I got canned bamboo shoots from an Asian store. The cans are soaked in Yanang leaf juice, which is a good herb, when making bamboo shoot dishes. When you get bamboo shoots, open the can and take the bamboo shoots and chop them into small pieces.
- Then take the glutinous rice that has been soaked in water and divide it into a small amount to pound and put it in there. To increase the toughness of the bamboo shoots, set it aside. Then pound the curry paste with lemongrass, onion, garlic, chili. Pound it roughly, not too finely.
- Light the fire and add the prepared cut beef. Put it in a pot and add the curry paste. Roast for a while then add bamboo shoots along with Yanang leaf juice. Add glutinous rice to the pounder. Cook for a while with fermented fish sauce as desired. Stir well and add kaffir lime leaves to increase the aroma. Then wait for everything to cook for a while and prepare fresh vegetables. Anyone who wants to add more vegetables can. I had spring onions and added them.
