Korean fusion restaurant in Sydney - Sung by mabasa

in Foodies Bee Hivelast year

Half of Sydney's restaurants seem to be in Surry Hills...

Sang by mabasa is also a Korean fusion restaurant located on a corner (?) of Suri Hill.

It seemed to be run by a Korean family.

Today, as expected, I tried several dishes as a tasting course.

  1. Kingfish Sashimi, which is indispensable as an appetizer in cooking courses now haha I had never seen harmony with fried brown rice (?). The sauce was explained, but I forgot about it...

  2. Yassam - Hmm... It's an appetizer with Korean pear wrapped in radish, but it wasn't very impressive. Crispy and refreshing taste.

  3. Rib meat that looks like it came out instead of raw meat? But it was tender and delicious. It's a little small, but it's a tasting course haha.

  4. Octopus massacre: I didn't take a picture. Blanched octopus + red pepper paste. It's good.

  1. Bossam - Moderately delicious. Tastes like going to a Korean restaurant?

  2. Stone-grilled rice with cod roe - This was pretty good. As the cod roe is grilled in a stone pot, it is very tasty and firm.

  3. Persimmon ice cream + Sujeonggwa: Persimmon ice cream seems to have about 0.1% persimmon flavour. It tastes like vanilla ice cream.

In fact, I don't think I can properly assess the quality and integrity of the food because I am not a culinary expert.

As a food fighter in the corner of the room, my general opinion is? wouldn't it be better to go to a Korean restaurant and eat it?

Of course, it's better than a Korean restaurant in terms of cuisine + visual part, which requires more sincerity to make a small amount (?) of limited customers. Especially if you have a short mouth and like to eat various foods + I recommend it if you like the atmosphere where you can talk while eating slowly.
