Low carb, starch free cheese chips

in Foodies Bee Hive2 years ago (edited)

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing with you, yet another, super simple, low carb, starch-free snack recipe. The chips you're about to make are delicious, healthy and nutritious.

The original recipe can be found here, available in Polish.

Ingredients

  • 50g of grated cheese mix (I use parmesan, cheddar and Old Amsterdam; any hard cheese will do)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon of provence herbs
  • a pinch of pepper & salt
  • a pinch of flaxseeds & sesame seeds mix to top the chips

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (or ~ 350 degrees Fahrenheit). Cover the baking tray with the baking paper. Mix the cheese with spices and more or less evenly distribute the mixture onto the baking tray, forming little piles. Compact each one of them and top them off with sesame and flax seeds. Put the tray into the oven and leave it there for several minutes (until the cheese melts). Take the tray out and let the chips cool. Additionally you can use a paper towel to drain the excessive fat amount.
