Today I was not the only chef in the kitchen...
Hmmm my daughter Rheem was present also to give a helping hand to dad! And whenever she is in the kitchen with me...it is so much fun!!!
It is a very good thing to bring your kids in the kitchen and let them learn from you...this will surely help them a lot in the future!
So yes, for today we wanted to make a sandwich with the home made bread that my wife cooked yesterday...batbout bread which is like a pita bread.
Let me show you how we did it!
Bon Appetit in advance friends!
I started by marinating the chicken with some salt, pepper, mixed spices and fresh basil leaves...
Then I heated a pan, added little oil and cook the marinated chicken as you can see below.
While I was cooking the chicken...Rheem was busy making the special cocktail sauce with mayo and ketchup...
I have to say...she did a very delicious sauce! Very proud of her!
Tomato salsa...
Next item that I prepared is the tomato salsa...quite easy in fact! Simply mix together tomato, onions and mint leaves with little salt, olive oil and some drops of vinegar...that's it!
After completing the cocktail sauce, Rheem cleaned and washed the lettuce and grated the cheddar cheese...
Below are the different components of our sandwich...we just needed to mount it up now!
Before making the sandwich, I heated some oil and started to fry the French Fries to accompany our sandwich...
I cut in half the batbout bread, spread the delicious cocktail sauce on both side and put a layer of lettuces...
Then I placed tomato salsa on top of the lettuces...evenly everywhere!
Next I sliced the cooked chicken and delicately placed them on the tomato salsa...
Finish it off with load of grated cheddar cheese...and we are good to toast it...
While the sandwich was toasting...Rheem put on her apron and helped in the dish washing...ohhh how sweet of you my darling!
Make it nice!!!
At home I always encourage everyone that whenever we are cooking something...try to make it nice and do a beautiful presentation...
So here's our lunch table earlier today...
This was the first time that I tried to make such a sandwich with the batbout bread...and it came out very nice...
It was way lighter than the usual panini bread!
For sure we will do it again soon as it was really very yummy and everyone loved it...specially Rheem!!!
And what are you having for lunch today friends!?
Thanks so much for reading and supporting my blog!
Wish you well!
Best Regards!

This is beautiful, looking at it now is as if you should send so I can eat because I know will be delicious.
That is what it good to have kid at home with and you work in hand with them, you can see that when your daughter is with you the work want fast and easy.
While are busy cooking she is helping to wash the dash which you use and the will make where you use to be clean.
It good to have kids around and two hand is better than one
