My family went to a seaside restaurant this weekend and we all had delicious food!
While my family ordered seafood-themed empanadas and tacos, I ordered something I thought sounded adventurous: the house burger! This burger was named after the restaurant and the most expensive thing out of all our orders. I was hoping it wasn’t too big since I didn’t have much of an appetite, but I kept in mind that this is the house burger after all.

¡Mi familia fue a un restaurante junto al mar este fin de semana y todos comimos deliciosa comida!
Mientras mi familia pedía empanadas y tacos con temática de mariscos, yo pedí algo que pensé que sonaba aventurero: ¡la hamburguesa de la casa! Esta hamburguesa lleva el nombre del restaurante y es la más cara de todos nuestros pedidos. Esperaba que no fuera demasiado grande ya que no tenía mucho apetito, pero tuve en cuenta que, después de todo, esta es la hamburguesa de la casa.
The seafood empanadas looked delicious and came with fries.

My Dad’s seafood tacos had a lot of fried shreds on top that I think may have been fried onions, but I’m not quite sure. They were crunchy with a strange after taste.
The rest of my family’s food came first because the burger wasn’t ready yet. I was a little anxious about it now: I knew it would be big. And it seemed like the more I hoped that it would be a little burger, the more extravagant it was promising to be, and it didn’t disappoint.

It made its grand steaming entrance as a tower of foods and flavor, with a knife stabbed through the middle to keep it from toppling over.
My whole family was surprised at the size and looks of the burger, and all I could think was, you weren’t hungry, so you chose the biggest thing on the menu. Great thinking girl. But I don’t regret getting that burger in any way!
It was so much I don’t even know where to begin on it. I’ll start with appearance.
The house burger was tall, with veggies and the patty leaking out the sides. It was topped with black and white sesame seeds which I loved, and came with crispy seasoned wedges.
Nearly all my family wanted some of those wedges, and I can see why: they were crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. The barbeque sauce this burger came with is heavenly, it was sweet and thick.
I finished the burger at home and I can say it was filling and delicious! There was a layer of guacamole over fried onions drizzled with a sweet sauce. Fried cheese sat over a veggie patty and there were tomatoes and cucumbers and a long leaf of lettuce at the bottom.
The burger was good, but a little mushy.
The best parts of the burger was the tangy guacamole, savory soft veggie patty, and tasty cheese.
I think the not so greats were caused because I ate the burger later in the day, so take this next part with a grain of salt. The fried onions were spongy and the cheese was hard and a little too stretchy.
But besides that this burger was good and will DEFINITELY fill you up. (May even last you the full day like it did for me).

¡Terminé la hamburguesa en casa y puedo decir que fue abundante y deliciosa! Había una capa de guacamole sobre cebollas fritas rociadas con una salsa dulce. Queso frito sobre una empanada de verduras y había tomates y pepinos y una larga hoja de lechuga en el fondo.
La hamburguesa estaba buena, pero un poco blanda.
Las mejores partes de la hamburguesa fueron el guacamole picante, la sabrosa empanada de verduras blandas y el sabroso queso.
