How I bake my tasty and yummy sponge cake

Hello,foodie bee hive how are you doing today hope your day went well. I just want to share with you guys what I did last week, actually I made a sponge cake for me and my family it was really fun doing that because I have been longing to bake a sponge cake for over a long time and last week I finally bake my sponge cake which was very tasty nice and yummy I wasn't believing that it was ever going to finish because I was praying for it not to finish very fast though I can still bake more if I want to because it's all timing and step by step in other not to miss out what you are suppose to use while baking and also if you actually miss out what you are suppose to use while baking I assure you, you won't be friendly with what the outcome is going to be nevertheless you are to calculate whatever you are doing because you have to add, reduce and divide knowing the quantity of what it takes to give you the quality of what of what you are looking for.

Steps Use in Baking sponge cake

Step1:separate your eggs
Step2:prepare your cake pan
Step3:Aerate the flour
Step4:beat the egg yolks
Step5:beat the egg white.
Step6:fold the ingredients together pour the butter into the pan and bake.

There are tips that will help you create the best sponge cake ever.

  • you have to prepare all your ingredients.
  • keep all your ingredients at room temperature.
  • mix them up
  • you don't have to rush
  • don't over mix
  • keep milk close by.
  • use the real ingredients as best as you can.
  • use a grease proof paper.
    This is how you can make your cake soft and spongy.
  • make use of your cake flour instead of all purpose flour.
  • add sour cream
  • room temperature butter and don't over cream.
  • add a touch of baking powder or baking soda.
  • add oil and don't over mix.

Brush with simple syrup or other liquid creaming butter and sugar whisking butter and sugar together is one of the essential tips to make the cake spongy, fluffy and moist you have to whisk butter and sugar for long until the mixture becomes pale yellow and fluffy because of incorporation of air I found out that real butter Makes a much sikier,firmer and thicker butter cream which is perfect to hold our cakes together and spread top I am well known for my generous layer of butter cream at the middle of my sponge cake.the magic of a light fluffy sponge cake with tender crumb is to incorporate as much air in as possible After all, it is entrapped air that expand in the oven. Creating the magic of the cake rising that can happen after it's out of the oven. If there is little raising agent or it is out of tale, there won't be enough gas for a rise maybe my oven is too hot rising happens during the first two third of the baking time, and it's followed by the settings and if it is hot then the outside will set before all the gas has expanded and the cake will not rise. Eggs are the essential ingredients in cake baking, adding too many of them can cause a disaster,if you add too many eggs then it will be spongy rubbery or dense like flour. Eggs build structure in a cake, so they make a cake batter more bonded and tense.

** Ingredients use in baking sponge cake**

  • 200grams cake flour
  • 2 tablespoon baking powder
  • 100grams butter
  • 8 whole eggs separated
  • 300gram sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla essence.
    Process of baking sponge cake
  • sift the flour and baking powder three times.
  • melt the butter in a small pan over low heat let cool.
  • separate the egg white and yolks beat egg white until they become white and frothy.add sugar little by little and continue beating until the sugar dissolves.
  • next is to add the egg yolks and beat about 5 minutes after that, add in the dry ingredients, melted butter and vanilla mix well using a rubber spatula.
  • pour the sponge cake butter into an 11inch round pan that has been greased with butter and floured.
  • preheat oven to 180 degrees and bake the cake for 30minutes.
  • the cake is ready when you can lightly press on it with your finger and it bounces back to you and also when a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clear.
  • remove the cake from the oven and let it cool.
  • serve and enjoy.
