Common mistakes

  • not making sure all the required ingredients are nearby
  • not having the proper pans and utensils - it can go very wrong if you try deep frying in a shallow pan
  • using ingredients which are not at the right temperature as required; using it right after taken from the refrigerator
  • not using the right amount of the ingredient; too much salt can ruin a dish.
  • keeping volatile substances near the gas flame
  • increasing the fuel when deep-frying can cause accidents
  • not being careful while pouring out hot liquids, burns can be severe if you drop hot liquids on your own body

Houshold accidents are part of the cooking scene but it does not mean that people should give up. These were written just to remind you that if we are careful enough, there is nothing to worry about.

Sometimes, a dish can go horribly wrong if a silly thing such as adding too much salt happens.

Tips

  • If there is too much salt in a curry, add a sliced potato or a slice of bread.

  • If there is too much of sour taste, add a spoonful of sugar to balance it

  • Add a pinch of turmeric in curries so that you can get added immunity

  • Coconut milk makes sure you won't have stomach upset
