I've packed my bags and moved 3 or so times since last post.
Why? Life.
I even lived this one place for about a month - without a stove. I had a fridge tho. And I got to cook Bosnian food once, but man, those were some hard, hard times.
I had to completely change my way of thinking, planning, when it came to food. It was annoying, difficult, painful, a test. A test to increase my degree of patience. Or just mental torment. I prefer to consider that period of my life as a test. As drawing a resemblance between that period of my life and Guantanamo Bay is just wrong. And depressing.
So, I became creative.
Several of the following posts are from that stove-less period of my life. Either a dish I made back then, or an idea I got and then set out to life next time I entered a kitchen, haha
This here is a recipe for these delicious AppleFry's with Peanut Dip.
Servings: 1
Time: 10 min. prep + 15 min. fry time
Ingredients
2 green apples
cinnamon
sugar (or not)
2 dl flour
enough water for a thicc batter to form
1 tsp baking powder
cinnamon
sugar, or 2-3 tbsp maple syrup
icing sugar
walnuts
Instructions
- Peel the apples and cut in half-inch thicc slices
- Spice it up and set aside
- Form a smooth batter, and set aside while you prepare the frying pan and clean sh*t up
- Cover all the apple slices with batter in the same bowl so you don't end up with too many dishes, and make sure both sides are covered in batter before tossing them carefully in half-boiling oil
- Fry, medium warmth, set aside
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and chopped-up walnuts
And now -
The Peanut Dip.
The apples are good on their own, too.
But the dip adds that lil extra. And peanuts are healthy. Containing that healthy fat, packed with proteins and whatnot.
Ingredients
2 over-filled tbsp peanut butter (I used the crunchy kind)
1 tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- Blend, heat up, serve
Tips, Tricks etc
- I used rye flour, so don't. Stupid flour don't work. Use wheat, or something healthier
- Add cardamom in the batter to spice sh*t up
- Use icing sugar if you don't have maple syrup (batter, dipping)
So, basically, you end up with this plate of deliciously fried apples and a dip so smooth - using two apples.
And if you're on a wallet diet as I am, this dessert costs you less than $1. Yes, it does.
So, go, make the recipe.
Enjoy.
Tell your friends about it (email it to your haters).
Spread the joy.
Share a comment, or two, if you end up making it.
Did you know?
Apples are healthy. Buy 'em, save 'em, boil 'em, fry 'em, bake 'em, eat them raw
Just as those who aren't photoshopped online got fit and ripped, so can you.

Apples in any form are just awesome!
But how did you fry it if you didn't have a stove?
Oh.. and welcome back :)
Hey you,
I forgot to add one last, crucial part. That the recipes will either be of something I made back then or got the idea for. Was still early in the morning when I wrote the post, haha
Hahaha you are excused :D
Thank you, hah
Thank you!
Welcome back!
Yes. Thank you, man
