Food Relievers for Teachers!

Worries and stress go down better with good food!

Being a teacher is not easy. Every day we deal with different learners. We are pursuing to teach them well and become productive every day. It is exhausting because we need to handle different personalities every day, so we need to produce a different approach so everyone can learn every day.

Every day we act not just as a teacher but also as mothers, a nurse, janitresses, and friends to address all their needs financially, physically, and emotionally.

Our day is not done just only for teaching but, of course, with the tons of paper works that are given to us every day. We woke up early for work, but we slept late to work again and again.

Our routine revolves around it, over and over again. The pressure is always on us, and we have no right to control it.

To cope with this tiring routine every day we make sure that we eat good food not just to satisfy our hunger, but of course, as our stress reliever that will help us to go through.

Of course, good food is more delicious when it is shared with your colleagues who are going through the same stress.

So here, we have the food that we usually eat:

We love pork meat!

We love pork meat, and we love it when it's cooked for adobo, "adobo" is a Filipino dish mixed with essential ingredients such as vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and pepper. It's up to us how we add the twist in our adobo, like adding some ketchup and more pepper to give more thrill when you eat it.

We also love it when it's grilled. It's another way of cook of pork that we love, especially when we are having a boodle fight.

Of course, a pork dish that is good for cold weather is the "Nilagang Karne ng Baboy" ( Boiled Pork Soup). This is another generic dish in the Philippines; everyone has their version of boiled meat and vegetables. But we prefer to cook it this way, with cabbage, banana, and potato.

We also love chicken Meat!

We always prefer chicken to be cooked in adobo also. We always want to cook it this way because it's more flavorful. This is what we always buy and cook cause it's way cheaper than pork.

We love Fish Meat!

We also have fish and cook it fried, not just because it's a straightforward method, but because we love it when it is crispy!

We love Seafood1!

We also love seafood, especially when it's buttered shrimp, "tinolang tahong," a soup with mussels, and grilled squid! This is what we usually have during payday because it is somehow expensive here in our place.

We Love vegetables!

We love "nilagang talbos ng kamote leaves" This is very common to us, where we go to steam or boil kamote leaves for just about 1-2 minutes, and it's good when it has Bagoong, it is a typical Filipino fish sauce, with pepper and juice of calamansi or Philippine lime.

We also have our famous "nilagang okra" same with "nilagang talbos ng kamote", which is good when you have fish sauce.

The grilled eggplant, which is good also when you have Bagoong, pepper, and calamansi.

We also love bitter gourd with meat! The bitterness is more delicious when it's added some meaty flavor.

Dinengdeng dish saves us when we have our tight budget before payday! It is a typical Filipino dish. A combination of fish sauce and fresh vegetables make it perfect. Here we have the "saluyot" or jute and beans.

Our favorite snack, Pancit!

We are fond and so in love with this kind of pancit, our favorite snack during break time or whenever we have some simple celebrations. The price is low, but it tastes like gold to us. This is always present during some events and occasions.

Our favorite, the Palitaw "to appear, or to show," is the name because you know that they are cooked when they float. This is made from glutinous rice grains.

These are the common good foods that we have.

We may always be busy for a day, but at least we make sure that we have our food relievers!

These good foods that we have can release the stress that we have and to regain the strength that we offer for a day.

Because we believe that good food gives us extra energy needed to cope with stressful events and happenings in our life, this is not about just eating; it's about using food as fuel to deal with anxiety and stress.

These are indeed food relievers for teachers!
