Chicken Liver and Gizzard in Gravy (Semur Ati dan Rempelo Ayam)

Happy Monday!

Had a good day at work today. Pretty quiet actually, no machinery running, no forklift, no train. It was just different. Temperature wasn't bad as well, altho the road was a tad slippery. To top that. I coughed less today. Here is crossing fingers no more coughs, headaches, sniffles, and whatnot 🤞 So yeah, pretty good day, indeed.

How was your Monday, BTW?

I have a healthy recipe to share today. Altho idk what I should call it. It consists gizzard, liver and heart of a chicken, so that would be giblets, however it has no neck. Can it still be referred as giblets dish then? 😁

1 onion
6 garlic
4 candlenuts (no subs)
8 bird eye chilies
4 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 c water
1 box gizzard
1 box liver
1 box hearts
1 tbsp crushed chives
At least 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
A pinch of white pepper powder
Sweet soy sauce (kecap manis), to taste

If your giblets are already sliced, then just wash them clean, otherwise, slice and wash them.

In food processor, make paste of onion, garlic, candlenut, chilies with the water and oil.

Saute paste with gizzard, cook until whitish, then stir in hearts, cook until no longer bloody.

Cook until gravy is lessen, a bit thickening, and gizzard and hearts are well cooked.

All the dishes are stained properly according to the rules, but if I think that if it is my dish, I have to add the salad on the bottom and put it on the table and add 10 more cans of beer, it will be more enjoyable.

Just yesterday, we also had chicken liver for lunch.

Wow! It looks so creamy, I think I am going to try this one out.

Chicken liver is not my favorite but if I try this, I am sure I can eat with a platter of rice and soda. Looks delicious. ☺️

Aaah I know quite a few Filipino and Filipina at work who love soda to accompanied their meals 😊

Oh yes.. Hehe
