One of my favorite times of year as a winemaker, harvest in the Northern hemisphere. Getting to walk the vineyard, sample the fruit and create expressions of the vintage into wine. While enjoying the beautiful colors that winemaking offers the world.
Producing Gewurztraminer, a German grape into a white wine from a slightly redish grape offers beautiful pink Rose wine when pressed. Although, if you've ever drank a bottle, its more often that golden yellow crisp white wine. Due to the grapes' lack of protein colour stability, it looses it's rosy hue after ferment is complete.

I actually have yet to have a good example of Gewürztraminer. I once had a "Orange Wine" made from it, but I found it to taste more like liquor then wine. Have you ever had a Gewürztraminer from Alsace?
Alsace would be classic, it's one of the noble grape varieties there. You can age them age them for quite a while too if they are crafted well.
I'm not a huge fan of the orange wine trend these days, so don't taste too many
Yeah Ill never again have that orange wine. Ive been getting more in Alsace wine lately, and everyone I have has been a really good wine.
