Nine years ago today, I opened this account. Fortunately, there is the annual reminder from @arcange with the help of @hivebuzz. So nine years ago, I opened this account one evening. In the morning, I went to work as usual and had my probationary period review. I didn't know that the company wanted to lay off all employees during their probationary period, but I found out during this meeting. It was a huge shock to me because I had always done my job well, even finding and correcting serious mistakes in projects. But management's directive was management's directive, and the company was not allowed to keep me. My wife wasn't working at the time, and I was the only breadwinner in the house. We didn't want to register as unemployed either, because that's not in my nature. When I got home after sending out several applications, I searched the internet for ways to earn money.
In addition to online poker, which I already played, there were various other options. One of them was this blockchain, where you could write posts and earn money for doing so. I wrote a post there, then another one on the second day, and then none for six months because I quickly found a new job. In June 2017, I met some people and bought 3,000 tokens for a lot of money in September. That was a huge sum for us. Over time, I got to know a lot of people, some of whom I can call friends. I attended two Hive celebrations and several regulars' tables in Europe. I am grateful for the last nine years, during which Hive has also played a big part.

Heute vor neun Jahren habe ich dieses Konto hier eröffnet. Zum Glück gibt es die jährliche Erinnerung von @arcange mit Hilfe von @hivebuzz. So habe ich vor neun Jahren an einem Abend dieses Konto eröffnet. Am Morgen ging ich wie gewohnt zur Arbeit und hatte das Gespräch zur Probezeit. Ich wusste nicht, dass die Firma alle Mitarbeiter in der Probezeit entlassen wollte, habe es aber in diesem Gespräch erfahren. Es war ein riesiger Schock für mich, denn ich habe meine Arbeit stets gut gemacht, auch gravierende Fehler in den Projekten gefunden und korrigiert. Aber die Vorgabe des Managements war nun einmal die Vorgabe und die Firma durfte mich nicht behalten. Meine Frau arbeitete zu dem Zeitpunkt nicht und ich war der einzige Verdiener im Haus. Wir wollten uns auch nicht arbeitslos melden, denn das entspricht nicht meinem Charakter. Zu Hause angekommen, nachdem ich mehrere Bewerbungen gesendet hatte, suchte ich im Internet nach Möglichkeiten, Geld zu verdienen.
NNeben Online-Poker, das ich schon spielte, gab es verschiedene Möglichkeiten. Eine davon war diese Blockchain, in die man schreiben konnte und dafür Geld verdiente. Ich habe dort auch einen Beitrag geschrieben, am zweiten Tag wieder einen und danach für sechs Monate keinen mehr, da ich schnell eine neue Arbeitsstelle gefunden habe. Im Juni 2017 lernte ich einige Leute kennen und kaufte im September für viel Geld 3.000 Tokens. Das war eine riesige Summe für uns. Mit der Zeit habe ich viele Leute kennengelernt, einige davon kann ich Freunde nennen. Ich war bei zwei Hive-Festivitäten und bei etlichen Stammtischen in Europa. Ich bin dankbar für die letzten neun Jahre, in denen Hive auch ein gutes Stück dabei war.

Nine years, it is a impressive milestone. I see in your example, someone who doesn't throw away the towel. That is one thing that I try to make it on an daily basis. I must confess that is not comfortable at all... but the gains that we get from that procedure are far more advantageous then is possible to see in the moment.
I had the luck to meet you in person on one of those two Hive celebrations that you attend :)
