19 Tage ist es her und es ist im Kern nur eines passiert.
Ich habe mich auf der Arbeit verletzt, es ist sehr sehr unglücklich gelaufen das Ganze.
Es geht vor knapp 4 Wochen an. Es hat geregnet und ich bin aus einem Container ausgestiegen und dort gibt es eine kleine Schrägung ( warum auch immer) und darauf bin ich ausgerutscht und gegen ein Metallgitter gestoßen, das zu allen Überfluss scharfkantig war. Dadurch ist eine Schnittwunde entstanden die ca 2 bis 3cm lang war.
Soweit so gut, es wurde mit „ Bordmitteln " gepflickt und die Wunde verschloß sich nach 2 Tagen und hatte eine kleine Beule lokal drumherum.
Drei Wochen später, nach Einlaufen in den Hafen hat sich diese Wunde entzündet und habe mich in das taiwanesische Krankenhaus einliefern lassen und diese haben mir Medikamente gegegeben und ein grosse Spritze. Zwei Tage danach schwoll mein Bein an und die Bewegung wurde immer schlimmer, das ich und meine Firma beschlossen, das ich nach Deutschland zurückfliege und es dort behandel lasse.
Mein Flug dauerte insgesamt 20 Stunden und ich muss erwähnen das ich und das Flugpersonal versucht haben es mein Bein so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten, dennoch schwoll mein Bein immer weiter und die Haut fing an zu spannen. Jede Berührung am Bein hat gebrannt.
Ich bin nach dem Flug direkt ins Krankenhaus gefahren (bzw. mich von meiner Frau dahin fahren lassen) und die Ärztin hat mir eine Bettruhe verschrieben, Medikamente gegeben, Antibiotika gespritzt und mein Bein geschient. Damit halte ich auch ja das Bein ruhig.
Mein Plan war eigentlich das ich noch eine Woche länger in Taiwan bleibe und für @zakludick ein GoFundMe-Seite einreiche für seine Hilfeleistung für einen Freund.
Durch diese Verletzung bin ich nicht dazu gekommen, aber wenn ich weniger Medikamente intus habe, werde ich das nachreichen und es tut mir leid, dass sich das so verzögert hat.

Als ich zuhause angekommen bin haben sich die „ Finanzbirds " richtig gefreut mich wieder zu sehen und haben mich sofort belagert. Das fand ich sehr rührend. Leider wurde das ein bisschen zu doll und ich habe mich dann ins Schlafzimmer verkrochen.
Ich hoffe, mein Reiseblog hat euch gefallen, auch wenn das Ende ein bisschen dramatischen war. So hoffe ich doch, dass der Einblick in die Offshore-Welt interessant war.

I hurt myself at work, it went very very unfortunate the whole thing.
It starts just under 4 weeks ago. It was raining and I got out of a container and there is a small slope (for whatever reason) and I slipped on it and bumped into a metal grate, which was sharp-edged to top it all off. This caused a cut that was about 2 to 3cm long.
So far so good, it was patched with "on board means" and the wound closed after 2 days and had a small bump locally around it.
Three weeks later, after entering the harbor, the wound became infected and I was admitted to the Taiwanese hospital and they gave me medicine and a big injection. Two days later my leg swelled up and the movement became worse and worse, so that I and my company decided to fly back to Germany and have it treated there.
My flight lasted a total of 20 hours and I must mention that I and the flight staff tried to make it as comfortable as possible for my leg, yet my leg kept swelling and the skin started to tighten. Every touch on my leg burned.
I went straight to the hospital after the flight (or rather had my wife drive me there) and the doctor prescribed bed rest, gave me medication, injected antibiotics and splinted my leg. With that I also keep the leg still.
My plan was actually to stay in Taiwan one more week and submit a GoFundMe page for @zakludick for his help for a friend.
Due to this injury I didn't get around to it, but when I'm less medicated I'll submit it later and I'm sorry it's been so delayed.

When I arrived at home, the "financial birds" were really happy to see me again and immediately besieged me. I found that very touching. Unfortunately, this was a bit too much and I have then crawled into the bedroom.
I hope you enjoyed my travel blog, even if the end was a bit dramatic. So I hope that the insight into the offshore world was interesting.
