The journey on HIVE has started. It is a pity that the limitation to 1 MB for photos no longer allows high-resolution photos, at STEEMIT we had 4 MB as a limit. That is why you will soon be able to see the photos in high quality on Steemit when I post this post there again. For me as a blogger, quality is already a criterion that I find important. And please save the comments to lure me to some other UI.
The photos were all taken on a day in January, just a few meters from a railway line. Appropriate to the topic, you can see how diverse nature presents itself to us if we only walk a few meters off the track. Every millimeter is alive, whether in the water, on the trees or on the ground. Get off too and walk along the lane, there is a lot to discover.
Die Reise auf HIVE hat begonnen. Schade daß nun die Beschränkung auf 1 MB für Fotos keine hoch aufgelösten Fotos mehr erlaubt, bei STEEMIT hatten wir immerhin 4 MB als Grenze. Darum kannst du dir die Fotos in hoher Qualität bald auf Steemit anschauen wenn ich diesen Post dort nochmal poste. Für mich als Blogger ist die Qualität schon ein Kriterium das ich für wichtig finde. Und bitte spart euch die Kommentare um mich auf irgendein anderes UI zu locken.
Die Fotos sind alle an einem Tag im Januar entstanden, nur wenige Meter neben einer Bahnstrecke. Passend zum Thema sieht man wie vielfälltig die Natur sich uns präsentiert wenn wir nur einige Meter neben der Spur gehen. Jeder Millimeter ist belebt, ob im Wasser, auf den Bäumen oder am Boden. Steig auch du ab zu mal aus und gehe neben der Spur entlang, es gibt vieles zu entdecken.

Those are great photos; the quality is just fine. I think if you resize your pics to FullHD (i.e. 1920 x whatever) you should be happy with both quality and size. I use Bulk Resize straight from the browser (Chrome / NO uploads):

If I may make a suggestion for your headline: "travel is its own reward" may be a better translation for this adage.

Dankeschön! Änderung der Titelzeile ist natürlich viel besser als mein pseudo Englisch.
Dein English ist bestimmt besser als mein deutsch. Hab solange hier gelebt und immer noch Probleme. Verstehen perfect, schreiben nix gut ;)
Anyway, your original translation is not wrong, and I have heard it in a religious context before. The path is the goal or something like that. But I know Germans use the phrase in a much more generic way, hence the suggestion.

Die Qualität der Bilder ist für mich völlig ausreichend. Small is beautiful, heißt es ja oft.
Bin leider noch ohne autovoter unterwegs, weil es den hier noch nicht gibt.
