Habt ihr gewusst, dass die Azteken ein Gesetz hatten, sich nicht exzessiv zu betrinken und ziemlich rigoros gegen Alkohol (Pulque) vergangen sind? Sich einen Rausch anzutrinken, wurde sogar mit der Todesstrafe geahndet. Andererseits gab es auch viele Ausnahmen und 60/70-Jährige durften soviel trinken, wie sie wollten. Irre. [1]

A little secret about the Aztecs
Did you know that the Aztecs had a law against getting drunk and were quite prohibitive regarding alcohol consumption (of pulque)? Getting drunk was even punished by death. On the other hand, there were exceptions and 60/70 y/o were allowed to drink as much as they liked. Insane. [1]

Older Aztecs probably made those rules, so they punished younger ones for drinking so more alcohol was left for themselves. 🤣

not really -- both alcohol and tabacco usually were only used for religious ceremonies .. and they knew very well about the side affects so it was not allowed for daily use .. but old people in many cultures were an exception because they were either sick and full of pain or tired and could not work any longer and to make their lives and suffering easier they let them use alcohol and drugs .. not so much different from the many pills in our carehomes today just that they treated their old ones a lot better and admired them and their wisdom

Inzidenz und KH-Belegung sind erfreulicherweise die letzten Wochen gesunken, von ca 200 auf 120 (pro 100k). Ab 19. Mai endet auch der November-Lockdown und Gastro darf mit Eintrittstests aufsperren.
Das sind ja gute Nachrichten!

Ich hatte 1987/88 die Hofburg-Belagerung inszeniert .. ein Tipi gefüllt mit 15 Azteken mit Tänzen und Trommeln für die Rückgabe der Federkrone von Montezuma .. da gibt es sehr viel mehr Geheimnisse um die Azteken im Völkerkundemuseum - vom Keller bis zum Vorstand .. aber das ist eine andere und viel längere Geschichte
Oh cool, das ist ja spannend, das wäre ein interessantes Thema für einen historischen Post :)
PS - Lange Leitung - also was meinst du jetzt mit "historisch" ?? die Federkrone ? oder gar unsere damalige Aktion ? Also sooo alt ist die Rätzin noch nicht -- historiscch ... pffff

Das würde Bücher füllen -- zum Teil hat es das schon .. aber es ist wirklich eine lange und sehr aufschlußreiche Geschcihte ..
Nach einer länger andauernden anwachsenden Enttäuschung mit meinem Hackerspace habe ich mich entschlossen, einen Hackerspace West (Wien) zu gründen -- so Bezirke 18 und oder 19 .. vielleicht einer der vielen aufgelassenen Heurigen hier .. Interessenten gäbe es genug, auch für nicht-virtuelle Bereiche wie Holz- und Restaurierarbeiten etc .. und da könnte man dann auch entsprechende Abende für solche Themen einrichten .. nur so ein Anstoß -- die Suche nach einem Lokal (mit praktiscch Null in der Börse) macht gerade in Lagerkollerzeiten Probleme .. vielleicht weiß jemand etwas ??
