My name is Alena. I'm from Russia. I am a linguist and musician by education.
I was very glad to see your community, because I teach English, write lyrics in English and I am interested in sharing my professional experience with the community.
There are both adults and children among my English language students. I also develop author programs in English. One of which is called "English for 15 minutes".
I had the idea to share with readers a series of short lessons on learning English. Funny and amusing idioms can be more than suitable. Teaching English in English - it probably sounds strange, but not for me. I know that many people on Hive use auto-translation, and they can translate these short lessons with English phrases and expressions into their native language.
The brain of an adult is so arranged that it is not easy for many people to learn a foreign language, because it takes a lot of time and effort. But if the information is presented cheerfully and in a funny way, then it is well remembered.
Let's try it! Today it is just an introductory post, and next time there will be a small lesson in English idioms.
