Cosechar conocimientos para un mundo mejor [ESP-ING]

Hola mi querida comunidad, hoy quiero compartir con todos ustedes algo que me apasiona, y es intercambiar conocimientos con mis alumnos en el área de agricultura, en una escuela técnica. Algo que me gusta compartir con mis alumnos es que para que la tierra nos dé el mejor de sus frutos debemos cuidarla y respetarla y para ello tratamos al máximo de no utilizar productos químicos que a la larga dañen el suelo que tanto nos da, a pesar de que muchos se empeñan en contaminarlo cada día.

Hello my dear community, today I want to share with all of you something that I am passionate about, and that is to exchange knowledge with my students in the area of agriculture, in a technical school. Something that I like to share with my students is that for the land to give us the best of its fruits we must take care of it and respect it and for this we try to the maximum not to use chemicals that in the long run will damage the soil that gives us so much despite the fact that many are determined to pollute it every day.

Hoy compartiré con ustedes una experiencia con mis alumnos de 4to año de diversificado, donde realizamos varias camas y así prepararnos para plantar en ellas los cultivos de cebolla Junca (Allium schoenoprasum) y pimiento dulce (Capsicum annum). Comenzamos por preparar el terreno realizando el respectivo manejo agronómico, comenzando por la limpieza del sustrato existente, retirando piedras y restos vegetales que pudieran dificultar el desarrollo de nuestras plantulas. Algo que debemos tener en cuenta si queremos hacerlo en nuestras casas es que el sustrato (tierra) esté suelto, ya que necesita oxígeno para su mejor desarrollo.

Today I will share with you an experience with my students of 4th year of diversified, where we made several beds and thus prepare to plant in them the crops of Junca onion (Allium schoenoprasum) and sweet bell pepper (Capsicum annum). We began by preparing the land by carrying out the respective agronomic management, starting with the cleaning of the existing substrate, removing stones and plant debris that could hinder the development of our seedlings. Something that we must take into account if we want to do it in our homes is that the substrate (soil) is loose, because it needs oxygen for its better development.

Algo que me encantó de este proyecto es que mis alumnos estaban muy entusiasmados con lo que estaban haciendo, pusieron mucho empeño en todo el proceso. La siembra de la cebolla se hizo de forma asexual. En el caso de la cebolla junca, elegimos esta variedad para nuestros canteros porque se adapta a nuestro clima y tiene un desarrollo muy rápido. Comenzamos inmediatamente colocando cada bulbo a una distancia de 30 cm entre hileras y 10 cm entre plantas.

Something that I loved about this project is that my students were very enthusiastic about what they were doing, they put a lot of effort into the whole process. The planting of the onion was done asexually in the case of the onion, we chose this variety for our beds because it adapts to our climate and has a very fast development. We start immediately placing each bulb at a distance of 30 cm between rows and 10 cm between plants.

Algo muy importante a tener en cuenta para el mejor desarrollo de nuestros cultivos es el deshierbe, ya que el no deshierbe nos robaría los nutrientes necesarios para nuestras plantas. Para este cultivo hicimos un plan de riego donde los alumnos se organizaron para regar por la mañana y por la tarde.

Something very important to keep in mind for the best development of our crops is to weed, since weeding would rob us of the nutrients necessary for our plants. For this crop we made an irrigation plan where the students organized themselves to irrigate in the morning and in the afternoon.

Algo que debemos tener en cuenta es que cada cierto tiempo debemos aporcar la planta, ya que con el riego descubre sus tallos y esto dificultaría la absorción necesaria que nuestra planta necesita para su buen desarrollo.

Something that we must take into account is that every so often we must water the plant since with the irrigation it uncovers its stems and this would hinder the necessary absorption that our plant needs for its good development.

Los tres meses y medio que pasaron para cosechar nuestra cebolla, fueron realmente muy amenos con mis alumnos, y en las fotos podemos ver que estaban muy contentos al ver como todo su duro trabajo valía la pena. Lo bueno de esto es que ellos mismos se beneficiaron de este rubro porque todo lo cosechado fue entregado al comedor de la institución.

The three and a half months that passed to harvest our onion, was really very enjoyable with my students, and in the photos we can see that they were very happy to see how all their hard work was worth it. The nice thing about this is that they themselves benefited from this item because everything harvested was delivered to the dining room of the institution.
