We are in the internet age. Gone are the days when stone age was dominating, in this century, the jet age is the king and we have to ride along and not be left out.
Speaking on virtual learning for kids. Virtual learning is a kind of learning which takes place using a computer and internet to inculcate. Yeah, it's impactful but its impact varies. Just as we know, miss A can be a fast learner who doesn't need explanation from anyone to understand what he sees while learning virtually but miss B is opposite of miss A .
Some kids understand better when they have someone beside them, teaching and motivating them in all aspects of learning. While some like it when they learn on their own .
Whatever the case may be, virtually learning can be interesting when we have all the support we need mostly from our parents. Parents play a great role in this, parents providing their kids with the right technology to aid learning, being by their side to correct, teach and support them.
While some parents are good at this, some might not be but it's always good to seek someone who is good at improving your kids' virtual learning ability. Virtual learning is very helpful in the academic performance of a child. She articulates and visualizes what she sees physically on screens in her brain, trying to remember how it looks, the shape,the color, what it stands for and symbolizes.
Parents are the best set of individuals to help kids in virtual learning. Although this task is too much for them because of a tight schedule, house chores and errands, making out time to build your kid and help in her academic success and growth should be a priority also.
IMPACTFUL ASPECT OF VIRTUAL LEARNING
Learning is everyday activity, as far as we are breathing, we are learning. Learning doesn't have to be in a physical classroom alone, we can have an online classroom which is where the virtual comes in, where students can learn in groups but yet they are in their different comfort zones.
The internet is fast replacing the chalk and talk system of learning which I will say fit in the Stone age rather than the current age. Technology is the trend now and schools should endeavor to adapt to this trend. I shed tears when I entered schools to discover they don't even have 10 sets of computers in their so-called "computer laboratory". I ask myself what are these kids learning without virtual reality. Gone are the theory times where teachers write and draw with chalks with no sufficient explanation, leaving the students to copy and dump.
Technology has given us a new method and adopting this method is the only way to help kids grow strong and grow academically. Virtual learning saves cost, we use what we already have to acquire knowledge. Buying textbooks isn't bad but spending money on different textbooks exorbitantly for each term is my major concern. Virtual learning helps in getting information, assimilating and storing these information for future use.
Let's not be naive, parents should adopt virtual learning for their kids at home, and encourage their school authorities to adopt the same method too. Combining the traditional system of using chalk, board and books isn't bad but using the two methods will indeed yield very positive results in students' lives.
Virtual learning is superb. Among other advantages, it makes learning interesting and pleasant. Children like learning through psychomotor domain.
