The Old Dog Announces: The Give Me a Hand Photo Art Contest! by @kus-knee
Like a lot of people in lockdown we are spending a lot of time making music together .... guitar, piano, drums, ukulele .... whatever we have around the house.
This is me playing my Mahalo Ukulele ...
"Mahalo" is a Hawaiian word meaning thanks, gratitude, admiration, praise, esteem, regards, or respects. According to the Pukui and Elbert Hawaiian Dictionary, it is derived from the Proto-Polynesian *masalo.
We are playing music to celebrate and give thanks to the Front line Health Workers.
I will try to post a few videos of me playing and singing with the family. Stay tuned ...
This is the original Photo .... can you tell what chord I’m playing ?
This was a very difficult photo to take with my right hand holding my iPad.
It’s interesting that my hand is making the Shaka sign .... 🤙
shaka sign:
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose" and in South Africa as "tjovitjo", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.... a hand gesture in which the thumb and little finger are extended outward from a closed fist, used when greeting or parting from someone or to express approval, solidarity, etc.
This is my Second Entry that I took with my left hand holding my iPad....
This is the original photo I just took now...
