Life does things in its own way... After a slow summer, mostly spent in bed, life became hectic again... I was expecting a friend to visit me for 2 weeks, but in the end, he had a health issue and had to cancel the flight and the stay... In the meantime, my parents expressed their desire to come, so they jumped in the "empty slot"... So here we are: instead of having 1 friend, I got 2 parents to deal with... 😃 One of the reasons for my other absence from HIVE (but I just got back! 😔)...
In my recent post, I was talking about hiring a local tour guide when you go somewhere to visit, and nowadays, it looks like I'm THAT GUY... 😂

After a long day of fishing on the lake, a bit tired of the sun and wind, here we are, doing another Hive power-up on my favorite day of the month, #HivePUD! I have heard a question from others: "Why are you doing these power-ups on HivePUD? You can do it on any other day of the month too!"
Well, that's true, and I do Hive power-ups every other day too! They are small ones, but I try to do them every single day... and why do I like the HivePUD so much? The answer is simple... The community! It's one of those unwritten HIVE "rules" where we gather around every 1st of the month and collectively power up some HIVE! In general, it's more about showing by example... Showing the importance of having a decent HivePower to support other creators with our upvotes... Bigger HivePower, bigger upvotes, bigger support!
Today, I'm a bit late with my #HivePUD power-up, so not too much of an example for others, but the consistency is a nice example! I've been doing these for multiple years, dozens of months in a row!
Is it too late to accumulate HIVE? Well, I suppose my answer is no, especially when you see today's power-up... 😃 The HIVE price went up from 3.8 cents to the current 5.6 cents, which is almost 50%, but this is just the beginning... In my opinion, we are still very early in the bull market, and we should see higher numbers... How much higher? I have no idea... I will be happy with 10-15 cents, and I think that's not unreal expectation...
I saw some great development on HIVE recently, which made me very bullish about our chain! Great to see some new ideas implemented, new games, and new developers... I'm very excited about the future!
Back to the #HivePUD and HivePower accumulation!!! When the price of HIVE was down, the interest was down too... But, on the other hand, fewer people used their HivePower to curate content, which means that we had a higher APR on curation... I noticed recently that it's going slowly down again, which is kind of a positive thing, as it means people are coming back to the chain...

Another 2K this month...
Including this power-up, another 4K accumulated during September... In a year, if I continue at this pace, I could reach 200K! Of course, if the HIVE price slips down again, I will jump on it with higher stakes! 😃
Goal for the next HivePUD in November: 160K!

Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is short for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It all began with the great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork, and it is held on the 1st day of every month.

I think compounding voting power and influence on Hive is a marathon, not a sprint. Thanks for putting together another solid reminder of why building account strength matters
It's definitely a marathon, especially if you want to pay attention to every HIVE investment... I saw some people buy a huge stake, power up everything, and when the price retraced, power down and sell everything... In my opinion, DCA is always a better option... and slow growth...

Yep! Absolutely right, many of us didn't even know the mindset behind Hive, but I know with courtesy of a friend that Hive isn't just a token or a write to earn platform. Infact, it is a pure ecosystem with too many of earning opportunities.

Haha I only do power ups on HPUD! I think the start of the month is just a timely point to do a stocktake, like how people set monthly DCAs for their investments. It's a routine schedule for me to follow and stick to. :)

Happy HPUD, and nice power up. It won't be long till you reach that 200k HP goal at the current rate. I only did a small 10 HP powerup like usual, but it all adds up over time.
Along with curation and author rewards, it definitely adds up over time! That's how I grew my HivePower, too... 💪
