RE: Just something I am thinking about at the moment...

Putin and Trump lack clear morals? The Russians also refused to accept the delivery of the turbines from Siemens, because their BOL said it was supposed to arrive via Siemens Intl, not Siemens DE, the German counterpart. The reduction to 15% doesn't mean that the pipeline has only 15% LNG in it, its referring only to the rate of flow, the pressure and volume at any one time in the pipeline remains constant, and the debacle of putting divers inside the pipeline to sabotage their own money pot comes with incredible risks should anything go wrong and the divers and submergables and maybe the explosives end up in the turbine blades, as even at 15% flow rate I imagine theres nothing short of nuclear power that could power the necessary equipment to make the thousands of mile journey there and back, and in the end, should everything go to plan, it's still more beneficial for Russia to simply turn off the tap. If it goes south, the Russians would lose international face, and possibly any claims over the pipelines. The Russians at 15% are still earning more from LNG as they were at 100% before sanctions, 7x(the price of gas)15=105%. The Germans could be motivated by the promise of stifling the protestors who demanded sanctions be stopped.

Assad has demonstrated his morals, as did Xi. Last time I checked, the Chinese forgave the loans of upwards of a dozen countries and almost two dozen loans, and not only forgave, but also extended credit to the same countries.
