How do you fight literal "bad seeds" who get into the positions of power to control basically the planet....soon to be other planets and moons too! I've read numbers all over the place on how many people would fall into the Damien category and usually it is between 1-5%. This graphic off sott.com says 6% and the more I've seen how people can get (crypto is a great example).....the more I tend toward the higher numbered end. ;)
"Empaths" on the other hand,tend to attract them like flies on dung and also have an odd ability of being able to see through "psychos" like glass once their true void is shown.

Who and what are we as a species and when will enough be enough? Master and slave is a relationship, you can't have 1 without the other. The people being manipulated by the psychopaths are an as much of a problem as the ones pulling their strings.
Both parties share a moral culpability to resolve the issue as one could not exist without the other.
I would disagree about calling it evil, as expressions of duality are not interpreted the same by many cultures and referring to psychopathic behavior as evil would just dilute the dialogue to the baseness soul unable to hold a significant meaning to people as they engage in the extremely complex nature of the Hegelian Dialect.
Deception or deceit could potentially define the role the psychopath is playing, but thats only 50% of the equation.
Apaths are those who follow along en masse Psychopaths and goes to the whole Sin of Commission vs. Omission. I appreciate the thoughtful comment and agree with a ton of it but I absolutely think that evil af people who have zero chance of being anything other than demons in meatsacks is a thing. The Charismatics and sadobullies are especially problematic but usually they meet their match with someone equally abhorrent or one day will at least be off this planet to leave humans with any form of 'good' left to hopefully evolve past a ton of dung throwing maniacs. ;)
I find hope in Empaths, the type to get underestimated until they see straight through the others tactics then shred on every level. I don't think the solution is as simple as genetic manipulation. Because there are more causes of psychopathy than just the genes.
Some life circumstances can force people to "turn off" their humanity or empathy, it also happens to give them a motive and an 'inspiring" story, a vendetta
and unfortunately, humans seem to be drawn by psycho leaders, so if they don't find natural ones they settle for life-made ones

There's a sociopath on youtube who gives lectures on how to deal with his type. I'm not sure how closely related the two are, but, if I recall correctly, psychopaths and sociopaths have similar traits. The guy's name is Prof Sam Vaknin. Unfortunately, one of his techniques is to treat the behavior in kind, except to do so at an intense magnitude. The tactic allows their ego to feed off the negative energy, and it also gives them a quick moment to self-reflect. I suppose something like that could prove dangerous if used on a violent psychopath.

Well said. I'm surprised I didn't think of that too. I was more marveling at the fact that people would pay to see him lecture on the topic. If not the former, he's likely getting off on the latter. The latter alone wouldn't necessarily reflect on the quality of his advice.

bravo! I am always judging things and thinking about these matters because the amount of hell on this planet lends me to think that some of the more "religious" sayings that this is a planet to learn suffering on etc., the devil is in control (etc. etc. etc.), is spot on.
Humans smile and like to be included, I've been under the table put in places of "power" a LOT but wind up seeing so much bullshit spewed that I cold turkey quit because in my own narrow scope, feel it's wrong.
