Yes, on the surface much of the dialogue we see around gender/sexual preferences claims to break down the rigidity of gender stereotypes: boys can play with dolls, girls can play football, etc. But in the end, they simply reinforce stereotypes and are yet another example of attempting to put people into a box and divide people.
