"...Bastyon platform, which is a unique parallel network that does not depend on Internet..."
I have made networks before, and set up my first network in 1987. These networks are not global, but Local Area Networks (LANs). There is only one global network we have access to: the internet. That is why the link to Bastyon you provide above is an internet address.
All you have to do is look at the back of your computer to see that only one internet cable connects you to Bastyon, BTC, Hive, Youtool, and every other internet resource. There is no separate wire(s) that connects you to Bastyon or BTC. You connect to Bastyon, Odysee, and Youtool using your internet browser, because all three of them are on the internet and use TCP/IP.
"The Internet protocol suite, commonly known as TCP/IP, is a framework for organizing the set of communication protocols used in the Internet and similar computer networks according to functional criteria. The foundational protocols in the suite are the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), the User Datagram Protocol (UDP), and the Internet Protocol (IP). Early versions of this networking model were known as the Department of Defense (DoD) model because the research and development were funded by the United States Department of Defense through DARPA."
You can tell https://bastyon.com is on the internet because that is an internet address, just like https://odysee.com and https://www.youtube.com. That's why your browser can access all of them, and why you can access them having only internet access. You'll notice the latter has a 'www' in it's address, which signifies it is part of the World Wide Web that is an internal network to the internet. That doesn't mean that Youtool isn't on the internet. It means the World Wide Web is a subset of the internet. Different protocols operate within the global internet protocol, and there are many of them, including Hive, BTC, and IRC.
My friend, don't let this trouble you. It's just a fact, like the stone bones of the Earth itself. You connect to the internet to access Bastyon, Youtool, IRC, and every other site and subnet available to you, just like you walk to the store, the library, and every other place you access on the Earth, and never take a step on some other planet.
Just as you can walk, ride a bicycle, a motorcycle, a unicycle, a bus, a car, and big Mack trucks to physically traverse streets to your destinations on Earth, you can use software protocols to access different parts of the internet, BTC wallets, Hive wallets, Youtool, IRC, Odysee, and etc. All the streets are on Earth, and all those protocols and data are on the internet.
When you lose internet access, you lose access to Bastyon, BTC, and IRC because they are not on separate, parallel network infrastructure from the internet, but are only on the internet. Since you do not have access to a separate, parallel network to the internet, if they were on separate, parallel networks you would not have access to them. You access them through the internet, which they are all part of.
I have a school friend who was installing Local Area Networks before you, @valued-customer, and he would be much harsher in reaction to your deep ignorance. I can tell you about it in my way:
• DECENTRALIZED networks are NOT the same as LAN.
• Bastyon has a connection to Internet, but you can install the application and turn off all your browsers – it will still work. It DOES NOT DEPEND on the TCP/IP Internet protocol.
• TCP/IP is not the only protocol in Universe.
• TCP/IP is not the best protocol in the Universe. It is a patchwork that had global reach because it was first. There are much improved protocols in existence.
• There is NO SINGLE INFRASTRUCTURE that everybody use. Russia and China already have their own sovereign Internets, and they are expanding infrastructure through all BRICS countries. Any refusal of service now has easy alternative.
• Bitcoin already has its own infrastructure. Yes, it uses Internet as well, but DOES NOT DEPEND on it. So when you state “When you lose internet access, you lose access to Bastyon, BTC, and IRC because they are not on separate, parallel network infrastructure from the internet, but are only on the internet” you are actually showing all your ignorance.
I disagree with you as to those facts, and you are not correct stating you can connect to bastyon, nor BTC wallets, without accessing their servers over the internet.
You can test this. But you can also look at your network card and see that there is only a connection to the internet there. There is no other wire. Protocols and decentralized nodes are only riding on the physical infrastructure that is the actual internet. Even if the protocols provide for other software mechanisms than TCP/IP, that doesn't make wires suddenly spring into existence.
There is no other connection to your computer that reaches Bastyon or BTC wallets except the internet. Prove that statement false, and show me you did so, and I'll be EXTREMELY happy to be wrong. You should know me well enough to know that the reason I make this point is the depending on infrastructure makes crypto permissioned by them that own that infrastructure, and that is my issue. I do not believe that BTC isn't permissioned by the owners of the physical network it depends on to effect transactions. I have no other dog in the fight.
Please, prove me wrong and I'll be as grateful as I was when you proved me wrong about Covid.
Facts do not care if you agree or not, @valued-customer.
I am a retired lawyer, @valued-customer. You can’t come in Court, say nonsense and ask for the other side to prove it! It doesn’t work that way. All the points I stated are functioning in practice – they are true. You are simply wrong, and do not want to admit that. Wake up – I simply cannot spend more time on your nonsense.
Complete failure to undertake even the simplest scientific principle, disproof of false hypotheses, and the utter incapacity to even acknowledge the basic fact that you only connect to the internet and do not access any other network YOU CLAIM exist and you use.
It is you that has blatantly lied or are completely ignorant of physical reality regarding the physical infrastructure that actually exists, and refuse to acknowledge you have been PROVED WRONG.
Your problem, your BTC, my burden of care is fulfilled, and you are free to lose everything to your failure to act based on reality as you prefer. I have really done my best to enable you to secure your assets that is possible. The response from you is curses and ad hominems. Despite your incivility, I can only pity your inability to cope with reality, because I have seen your desire to rise above oppression, and to help others do so. All that you have surmounted will come to nothing when you are trapped in the pit you pretend isn't right in front of you, waiting to take everything you have, as you push right into it.
Enjoy the fruits you have sown.
Lawyers...
You can, of course, have a paper wallet and physically carry it to someone else with a paper wallet. However, if BTC has to depend on the Pony Express to transact, it will effectively lose all value as money.
So, in one strike you show that you don’t know what Bitcoin is and don’t have a clue what Internet is. Congratulations!
