I think a lot of leftist resist crypto because it's still quite difficult to learn about it. I mean most of the general public still do not understand NFTs. As more of the general public learns about the benefit's of cryptocurrency I think we'll see more leftist embrace it :)

Some leftists hope for a better world, and just subsist until it magically happens. Others live in the real world and will do things to help them short-term, while also pushing for systemic change. I think 99.9% of bitcoin hating leftists are in the former category. Wanting to fix problems governmentally or systemically and doing things HERE AND NOW to help our lives are not mutually exclusive ideas.
