Hello Hivers, how are you today?
Today I feel very happy because I have done a meaningful work. Today I took the kids into nature to learn about the importance of land, water and plants. They are children from the big cities of Vietnam. In the summer they are sent here by their parents for summer camp. Even though they were only about 6-11 years old, they enjoyed the trip. That made me very happy because they are the future of the planet and I think it's important to teach them lessons about land, water and plants.
We took the kids to the forest quite early around 6am so they could understand the importance of getting up early and enjoying the fresh air in the forest. During that hike, we taught the kids about plants and their importance. At first I was quite worried because they were quite young, but then they enjoyed walking in the forest, which relieved me. Maybe they don't have many opportunities to explore the forest like this when living in big cities. We then provided a special breakfast for the kids. Their breakfast was just sweet potatoes, bananas, eggs and milk. We wanted them to understand more about eat clean and thankfully they enjoyed their breakfast. Each of them has chosen for themselves a favorite corner right in the forest to enjoy their breakfast. We then let the kids go around collecting firewood to prepare for lunch.
At noon, the weather starts to get hotter. It's the right time for the kids to learn about the importance of water. We took them to a stream right in the woods. The children listened to a presentation about the importance of water and soon enjoyed their time in the water. They spent hours playing in the water and didn't seem to want to get out of the water. I saw pictures of me as a child watching children play in the water.
They are children from big cities, but they have not been afraid to participate in activities with land and water in nature. That's what I'm very happy about. Nowadays, with rapid development, children in big cities are increasingly losing connection with nature. I think that's very alarming for the future of the earth. So I'm very happy that the kids I took with me today enjoyed being in nature and wanted to learn about protecting the environment.
And the last activity in today's trip is learning to cook with firewood. Today, most of us are familiar with cooking with gas or electricity, which are energy sources that humans have made a great impact on nature and the environment when harnessing them. Children today have gradually forgotten the primitive way that humans cooked food. So today we taught the kids how to make fire and cook with wood. It's also an important life skill, in my opinion. They enjoyed learning about that skill and were very happy to enjoy the peanut sticky rice they cooked by themselves. I think today is a meaningful day not only for me and for the kids. I hope the lessons they learn today will help them have a better sense of environmental protection and love for nature.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post. Have a nice day!

I felt so happy that the children were still very eager and enjoyable to learn about nature and our planet. I think we should more activities like this for our next generations. And I'm happy to do it too.
A very meaningful trip, as you say the children of today have no connection with nature the vast majority live locked slaves of video games, TV and phone, is a great way to teach them to be in contact with nature, I think all children love and enjoy everything that nature offers, you can see in your photos, but we adults are responsible for promoting these activities more often.
Yes I totally agree with you, @yosoyada
We adults should be responsible for educating our children about the importance of nature and our planet.
Wish you a nice day!
That's right, thanks the same to you 😉.

This is an excellent activity. It is a very solid step for them to learn not to harm the nature, which must be protected for their own future, and moreover, to learn to love it, both today and for the future.👍
Thank you very much. that's truth. I think it's really important for our next generations to understand how important the nature is and to understand more about our planet.

Wonderful job @dodovietnam! We only have one planet and everyone should join hands in educating why every aspect of nature is important. 👏👏👏
That's truth! @patsitivity
And I think it's important to educate our next generations about our beautiful home as soon as possible.
This reminded me of my student days. At my school there were no camping trips, but day trips to natural areas, parks and forests were organized. Excellent contact with nature for children, they have fun and learn at the same time.
It's great to hear that your school organized such great activities for students. I think it's so important to educate the next generations about our planet.
Just one word… wonderful 🥰🤩😎
Thank you very much dear friend @littlebee4
You are welcome @dodovietnam 😁 it’s wonderful to see the children and how they sook up knowledge of the nature around them… it is so rewarding 😎
This is so true. These days children are into gadgets and they are too detached from the reality of nature’s existence. This is a very good activity for the kids and even for adults.
Yes, I totally agree and am happy to know that children are still eager to learn about nature and our planet.
great job to all of them
