Greetings friends, thanks @ecotrain for this wonderful opportunity and question. I love to engage in question pertaining to the scripture, spirituality and Christian .

WHO IS A TEACHER?

A person with the role and responsibility to teach a human being or universal being what is accurate and specific to know, learn and understand on a spiritual level to contribute to their soul agreement, soul purpose or spiritual evolution.

WHO IS A GURU?

A guru is one who is an expert or a mentor of a certain aspect of knowledge.

DO WE NEED A GURU OR TEACHER IN ORDER TO GROW SPIRITUALLY?

Every time you give directions to a lost traveler, show a fellow worker how to perform a particular task, or explain to a child how to tie his shoes, you are teaching.

Whether we are young or old, learning can be—and should be—a delight. Why? Because learning opens up the windows of the mind; it is the enemy of monotony and dullness. There is so much to learn. The earth around us is filled with interesting people, interesting places, amazing varieties of creatures and plants. Yes, the earth, not to mention the starry skies above, is a treasure-house of knowledge. Prov. 9:9.

I believe we don't need a guru who only knows some certain things and not all way round and we don't also need a teacher who teaches us what is good to do before we do them. We humans are imperfect and what we need is God's holy spirit to be with us, to direct us in our spiritual journey.

Jehovah also provided the bible to help us grow spiritually, when we read, we get to know what God wants from us, we don't necessarily need a teacher to grow spiritually.2 Tim. 3:16, 17

Prov. 4:2 there Jehovah said he will give us good instructions. All of us need knowledge and counsel from God's word the bible.

Matt. 28:19, 20 here Jesus was telling his disciples to go and teach them(the people) to observe all that Jehovah has commanded. So i believe anyone that has a true knowledge of spirituality can be a teacher.

Prov. 1:5; 27:17. Iron sharpen iron, that means we learn from each other in order to grow spiritually too

This means everlasting life, their taking in knowlede of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—John 17:3.God has provided the way for us to learn the most important things. (Prov. 2:6) In his Word, the Bible, he gives us the things to learn that will count most for our happiness now and in the future. He has also appointed for us a Great Teacher, his own Son, Christ Jesus. Of him, Colossians 2:3 significantly says: “Carefully concealed in him are all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.

Jesus’ teachings opened up men’s minds to learn wonderful truths never before understood. Those teachings were actually God’s own, for Jesus said: “What things I have seen with my Father I speak . . . The things I say to you men I do not speak of my own originality; but the Father who remains in union with me is doing his works.” (John 8:38; 14:10) We today can thank God that he caused men to record the life, works and words of his Son for our benefit so that we today can also learn from this Great Teacher provided by God.

Remember, now, that in the book of Proverbs, chapter 8, wisdom is represented as saying, “The one finding me will certainly find life.” Since wisdom finds its personification in God’s Son, Jesus could say essentially the same thing, namely: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
We know because of the example Jesus personally set while on earth as the Great Teacher.—John 15:8, 12.

I hope you all gets some points and knowledge from this post
Thanks

Of course we don't need a teacher to tell us what is religion or spirituality but even we know everything and we have someone who can talk with us on the subject, it definitely helps. Thank you!

It's such an interesting read from you and I would also point out that even if we study the Bible, if we aren't able to understand, it might be difficult and the need for a spiritual teacher would be sought after who with his experience and knowledge would clarify things to us. It is now left to us to be willingly ready to learn too because no matter what they teach us, if we aren't ready, we can't understand.
Thank you for your thought
