A question that is very open and a bit ambiguous to tell you the truth. What is being asked? What do you want me to tell you? Tell me what you want to hear?
This week's question I simply liked how open-ended it is as it gives the freedom to us as writers that we can pose our ideas according to the guiding path that these open-ended questions do not draw.
If Not You Then Who?
If not me, it could be many other people with many more capabilities, many more aptitudes, much more intelligence and perhaps much more prepared than me. But maybe our culture is always waiting to see what the other person is doing and criticize them.
If it's not me, it could be anyone, but I decide to be the one to take the lead and make the change I want to see in the community.
If Not Now Then When?
If not now then never then now while I am young and have the strength and will is when I can do what I want to do to change things. If we make mistakes due to lack of experience, it will be the experience gained to keep improving.
this weeks question is asking you what you think is the reason(s) why so many people are not taking action on issues that are important.
I think this question is very difficult to answer and very difficult to achieve the objectives. Because in the case I am asking it is not solved in just one way, nor is it the work of just one person.
This question automatically transported me to the year 2013 when in the capital city where I live, one of the events that most shocked the city took place.
It was a disaster that could have been avoided. The fact was that a wall in a residential area fell on some humble zinc houses and ended up killing an entire family where the only survivors were a few children a few years old who were able to hide in a closet, which ended up saving their lives.
I don't have to say that this is a disaster and a calamity, because I think we all agree that it is. Because those people did not take action on such important issues as taking care and building on a safe area, the easy answer to say is that it is because of poverty.
And even though poverty and necessity make people build on green areas or on areas that cannot be inhabited because it is so dangerous, it is not a justification to put your whole family at risk, including your children.
Is it lack of education and poverty along with many other elements that make people take reckless attitudes?
Undoubtedly it is, but why do government and municipalities allow settlements to be built in places where it is not possible to live?
It is undoubtedly a shared responsibility, it is everyone's responsibility.
After this I remember that I joined a humanitarian NGO where we accompanied the victims of this disaster and we were also in charge of training people in resilience, search and rescue, psychological first aid, without a doubt a humanitarian work that changed my life and I contributed a grain of sand for a better world.

Si no soy yo, puede ser muchísimas otras personas con muchas más capacidades, muchas más aptitudes, mucha más inteligencia y quizás mucho más preparado que yo. Pero quizas nuestra cultura esperamos siempre a ver que es lo que hace el otro y criticarlo.
Si no soy yo puede ser cualquiera, pero decido ser yo el que tome la batuta y haga el cambio que quiero ver en la comunidad.
If Not Now Then When?
Si no es ahora no es nunca ahora mientras estoy joven y tengo fuerza y ganas es que puedo hacer lo que quiero para cambiar las cosas. Si nos equivocamos por la falta de experiencia, será la experiencia ganada para seguir mejorando.

Creo que esta pregunta es muy difícil de responder y muy difícil de conseguir alcanzar los objetivos. Pues en el caso que planteo no se resuelve de una sola manera ni tampoco es labor de una sola persona.
Esta pregunta automáticamente me transportó al año 2013 cuando en la capital donde vivo se vivió uno de los hechos que más conmocionó a la ciudad.
Fue un desastre que se pudo haber evitado. El hecho fue que una pared de una zona residencial cayó sobre unas humildes casas de zinc y terminó matando a una familia entera donde los únicos sobrevivientes fueron unos niños de pocos años de edad que pudieron esconderse en un ropero, los que les terminó salvando la vida.
No tengo que decir que eso es un desastre y una calamidad, porque creo que todos estamos de acuerdo que lo es. Porque esas personas no tomaron medidas sobre cuestiones tan importantes como cuidar y edificar sobre una zona segura, la respuesta fácil de decir es que es por pobreza.
Y si bien la pobreza y la necesidad hace que las personas edifiquen sobre áreas verdes o sobre áreas que no se pueden habitar por lo peligroso que es hay que decir también que no es justificación para poner en riesgo a toda tu familia incluido tus hijos.
¿Es falta de educación y pobreza junto con muchos elementos más los que hace que las personas tomen actitudes temerarias?
Sin dudas lo es, ¿pero porque Gobierno y alcaldías permiten que se construyan asentamientos en lugares donde no se puede vivir?
Es sin dudas responsabilidad compartida, es responsabilidad de todos
Después de esto me acuerdo que me uní a una ONG de labor humanitaria donde le dimos acompañamientos a las victimas de este desastre y también nos encargábamos de capacitar a personas en temas de resilencia, búsqueda y rescate, primeros auxilios psicológicos, sin duda una labor humanitaria que me cambio la vida y aporte un grano de arena por un mundo mejor.
