Why is connecting with nature important?

These questions have bothered me since childhood. The first time I remember being in close contact with nature was at the age of seven. I was living in a village near Warsaw and there was a forest nearby. One day I went into that forest and discovered a pond. Fascinated by this new discovery, I decided to go back every weekend. During those weekends, I had the opportunity to observe different animals, plants and insects. This experience convinced me that nature was a wonderful place full of treasures.

In the last few years, I've been travelling to many places all over the world. In these travels I often encountered people who were not very fond of nature or didn't know anything about it. Surprisingly enough, I found most of them in the cities. People living in large urban areas seem to be disconnected from nature and don't see any need for it. They could live without connecting to nature and they probably would do so just fine. However, as soon as we try to get closer to nature, we get hooked on its wonders and beauty. Our hearts grow more sensitive towards nature and we can't stay away from it. We become aware of all the benefits nature has to offer us. Humans are social beings and we thrive when surrounded by other people. Therefore, if you want to survive as a human being, then connect to nature. You will find yourself happier and healthier.

The second reason why connecting to nature makes sense is because nature provides us with everything we need to live a healthy life. If you want to eat, drink clean water and breathe fresh air then nature is your only source. Eating meat and drinking alcohol may make you feel good but there is no way around getting in touch with nature. It has been proven that humans who connect to nature tend to be healthier than those who don't. Additionally, connecting to nature also helps us deal with stress better. For instance, walking through a forest calms our nervous system and reduces blood pressure. Furthermore, connecting to nature improves our moods and lowers anxiety levels. All these positive effects help us lead happy lives.

I'm sure everybody has their own favorite nature experiences. Mine is sitting on top of a mountain. When I sit here, I get close to my creator. I feel at peace and relaxed. This feeling alone is worth taking the effort to climb up such a steep mountain. It's worth it even though it requires a lot of energy and strength. Nature provides everything we need to live a healthy life. What we need to do is take the time to discover it and enjoy it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about what is most important in life. I think there are two things which matter the most. First of all, we should help others whenever possible. Helping others is necessary for the survival of humankind. If nobody helped each other, we might end up killing each other. Humans need to learn how to cooperate and help one another. Secondly, we should care about the future.

When you're trying to decide between helping someone or doing something for yourself, always choose helping others. If you're trying to figure out whether to help someone or focus on yourself, always choose helping. Our goal is to survive together as a species and we need to work hard for that. As long as we aren't able to provide food, shelter and security for everyone, we need to put ourselves aside and help each other. We need to keep our planet clean and save the resources for future generations.

For me, connecting with nature is an essential part of happiness and health. I believe that if we don't protect nature, we won't be able to continue surviving. Without nature, we wouldn't be alive anymore. Nature gives us water, air and food. It protects us against dangerous animals and diseases. I believe that connecting to nature is the best decision we could possibly make to ensure the survival of humankind.

First of all.. I love the photos, especially the one on the cliff 🥰..
True. We shouldn't take nature for granted because it provides everything we need. And we can't live without it. So we should take care of it.

I have never understood what draws people to cities. People would rather work like a dog to pay high rent, and be crammed into small spaces than live in the country and live a less stressful, healthier life. It just never makes sense to me.

You are very right about this. Nature helps rejuvenate our bodies and minds and helps us live a healthy life.

We enjoy many things from nature and we need to appreciate such gift to humanity. Thank you for sharing.
