We are not indispensable ... by way of reflection | In the framework of World Biodiversity Day

World Biodiversity Day

Every May 22nd is World Biodiversity Day

At a global level we are facing a pandemic without the best options and much less without the best strategic planning, what does that mean? It means that global public health is at risk. However, that risk is only for us human beings. The lethality of COVID-19 has shown us that the Earth and its biological diversity can survive without us humans. The earth and its various cycles and systems, with their associated energy, are of vital importance to humans; without them, humans cannot live and cannot feed themselves. However, human intervention in many cases can only alter the balances of that Mother who provides us with support, shelter, and the means to produce food, goods and services. In short, we degrade and even contaminate those who give us the possibility to live.

The earth can exist without human beings. We do not survive without the earth as a support. In this case the concept of earth includes water, soil, plants, animals, air, atmosphere and even water resources. Our decision must be an intelligent one.

Mother Earth, our Pachamama must be protected, safeguarded, cared for and preserved not only because we live in her and from her but because if we continue to alter the balances in each of our ecosystems we are inexorably heading towards the degradation and even destruction of ourselves.

I invite you to take a moment of your lives to reflect on this topic. We are not indispensable for #pachamama. We must stop acting like irrational beings without any kind of awareness as to the effect of our actions. Each of our actions has an effect. We must ensure that our actions have the least negative impact on the balances of our ecosystems, agro-ecosystems, urban areas, rural communities and even in pristine areas.

I live in the American continent and there is the biggest scenario with the greatest biodiversity in the world: the Amazon basin. South America is the first natural physical space in the world to possess greater biodiversity, we are privileged. In the South of the American continent is my beloved Venezuela. It is positioned as the fifth country in the world with the greatest biodiversity.

South America is the first natural physical space in the world to have more biodiversity. We are privileged, so we must behave at the height of tremendous opportunity to celebrate the Miracle of Life.

Let's not keep behaving like insatiable predators

Stay at Home Transforming

Grateful with #Pachamama that every day gives me the opportunity to see the Miracle of Life

Hello @marlanyaragua, this is @notconvinced on behalf of Natural Medicine.

You are so right. We are not necessary for the cycle to continue. We need to act like we are proving our worthiness to be a part of this wondrous system.
