I would say that before taking any action we must first make people aware because it is worthless that some people help to save the planet and others only focus on destroying it or you want to destroy it unconsciously, we must create more awareness and reach people who have not yet been able to reach.
One of the ideas to raise awareness is to start fining people who leave garbage on the street, in some countries this method is already implemented but not in my country. It is sad for me to go out in the street and see how people throw waste in the street.
People should understand that this act of throwing garbage in the street is one of the most harmful not only we are obstructing the drains but also causing that garbage to reach the seas and rivers to contaminate them.
Last year in my country Venezuela it was a very rainy season and because of all that waste that we ourselves caused there was a lot of flooding in different parts of the country because the water had nowhere to go out because the drains collapsed easily.
We are not only damaging the rivers and seas we are also damaging the trees, trees that help produce and purify the oxygen we breathe the cutting of trees is killing them all and we are damaging the beautiful forests.
How many of us love to go to the mountains or forests when we are stressed? Rather when we are stressed many of us like to go to a place where we can breathe fresh air and not hear the noise of the city.
That is why I think that the first thing to do is to make people aware and since we have already realized that they don't understand, starting to fine people who damage the ecosystem will make them understand that what they are doing is wrong. Well, at least in my country that is a way to make people aware.
Science would be a good thing.
Cien por ciento de acuerdo contigo @maykit55 debe iniciarse en Venezuela urgentemente un sistema que detenga a la gente de arrojar tanta basura en las calles, en las quebradas y un gran etc., porque el problema no es que el gobierno no recoja la basura, es porque tiramos desperdicio en la calle sin ton ni son en prejuicio de toda una comunidad, realmente es falta de conciencia.
