Healthy and nutritious plants in an eco-village

Most houses in eco-village are surrounded by trees and plants. That alone we could tell that our life is already healthy. The air that we breathe and the views that we see. Sometimes our mind could make us healthier. Why? It's because we have a peaceful mind and that nature influences us. Unlike in the Cities that the surroundings will make us more stress. The crowded people and traffic. We can ignore the work because it's part of our life to survive in this world.

But the main reason why we are healthy is the foods that we will eat.

They said that everything we eat now is not healthy if we bought it from the market. Chemicals were being added in vegetables, fruits, etc to grow and to bear them well. Now if you are aware of this matter for sure you want to have plants on your own. Of course, you will not add chemicals because you or your family will eat. We don't want chemicals to destroy our body.

The good thing in eco-village is you have space to plant. Small or wide, as long as you can plant. It's fine, you only need is an idea how to does it. By the way, this is papaya in the image above. I'm not at home but I'm just showing how it looks like to live not in the City.

This one is a sweet potato crop or in our dialect, it's called "camote." Sweet Potato needs a wider space because it grows by extending its leaves and branches. You can let them grow to climb as well but the crops will not provide healthy leaves and healthy fruit. They said that the leaves of sweet potato are good for those who experience low blood or anaemic. That's why the leaves of it are not advisable to be eaten by those high blood pressure people. I'm not an expert but according to them this crops has full of nutrients.

This is the opposite of sweet potato because it won't grow well if you let them grow in the ground. Example of it is the ampalaya. Just plant them on the ground and let it crawl by a tool that we called"balay-balay" or a house for it. This kind of plant needs to hang to provide healthy vegetable fruits. There are too many of them to mention but I just choose this kind of vegetable as an example. We have a vegetable plant like this at home. Even a little I know the characteristics of this.

If you don't have a wide space to plant. You can make this type of planting. You will create a place where this vegetable can grow. You don't need to have a bigger space if you really want to plant vegetables or fruits. You can use your brain for ideas about what to do.

Malunggat or moringa is very common in our place. We don't need to buy it because we could ask neighbours to have it. Also, it doesn't need a bigger space because it grows straight like a tree. It might be a simple type of leaves vegetable but it is very nutritious. I think you should check the benefits of this leaves vegetable on the internet. You will be amazed by this plant for sure.

These vegetables that I just shared are just examples of what could an eco-village provide in terms of a healthy lifestyle. It's better to have your own plants to make sure that what you will eat is healthy for your body.
