Hi all, Last number months up here in 🇨🇦 even in my Province of Saskatchewan they have been finding unmarked Graves near old Indian Residential Schools (fairly certain this has made the news Worldwide). I have heard stories of Survivors before, not to offend anyone here, But the Pope should get off his ass and fly here if the Catholic church is serious about this and he needs to see this shit for himself. Some of these Priests would literally rape the Children on an ongoing basis nevermind the mental and physical abuse as well. The other day I seen an interview with an elderly lady and she still hears the Priest in the Hall when she's trying to sleep(Flashbacks). I felt like jumping into the tv set and giving her a hug and the other part of me wanting to find these perps who did all this with God on there lips and slap them all silly but they'd all be old men, they maybe off the hook on this life, but I wouldn't want to be them in eternity. Wow I'm getting angry writing this out here. Nobody said they Knew what was happening, how could they Not? Felt the urge to write here and vent it out the disgust I feel and anger and I wasn't a victim of that atrocious Crime it happened before my time, they would Rip the Children away from there Parents and drop them off into these Horror Houses called Residential School. And in some cases the children were abused day #1. So Mr. COMFY Pope get Over here if you truly give a dam. I am Not Aboriginal myself but I am A human with a Normal Heart. It was not just Priests though some of the Nuns were in on the abuse as well. Anyhow My intent here is not to offend ANYONE Catholic.....in fact I believe Jesus Christ was and is The Son of God and Do believe God Raised him from the Dead, and that's my Faith. Anyone else think the Pope oughta come down here to Canada? Lemme know

The church has a long history of this not only with native Americans but also in Africa and even ion Catholic school in Europe. Humans suck sadly and things like that happen out of the church as well . I forget the exact numbers but it was something horrific like 40 to 50% of kids in foster care are sexually abused and the rate for kids of colour was even worse. I am not a Christian although my family is Russian Orthodox and I was in Catholic boarding school. as far as Popes go the current one seems to be the better kind but I am not sure he even knows or cares sadly.
As you say, there is widespread historical evidence of these abuses. I’ll bet the pope is well aware.
I meant more about the resent findings not the overall abuse
