I still remember the very first time I came across Korea it was through a drama a friend recommended
At first I wasn’t really interested, but out of curiosity I sat down to watch
What I thought would just be another movie turned out to be the beginning of a journey I never expected
The story, the emotions the music and even the little cultural details captured me in a way I couldn’t explain. It wasn’t just entertainment it was like I had opened a window into another world
That first drama made me curious Soon I found myself listening to Korean songs
I didn’t understand the language then, but the voices carried so much emotion that words didn’t matter. Slowly, I began to pick up some phrases, and with every song I listened to
I felt more connected
Sometimes I would hum along without even knowing the meaning, yet the music comforted me in ways I didn’t expect.
Food came next. I remember trying bibimbap for the first time
The colors alone made me smile rice, vegetables, egg, sauce all mixed together like a painting
The taste was different, bold, and warm
It made me realize that food, just like music and drama, is also a language of its own, one that speaks straight to the heart
At first I thought Korea was only about K-dramas, K-pop and food
But as I explored more, I learned about its history, the struggles and resilience of its people and the values of respect, hard work, and community
My impression changed from curiosity to admiration
Korea is no longer just a faraway country I discovered by accident
It has become a part of my life, inspiring me in ways I didn’t imagine Looking back I feel grateful for that first drama because it opened a path that has touched my heart deeply
A journey you never expected! 😊 Drama intros are the best. Always leads to more!
