There was one morning I won’t forget in my life. I was in Seoul that time, around Namsan Tower, just walking without any plan. Then I saw one old man, maybe around 70 or so, doing Taekwondo alone. The air cold small, and there was only that soft sound from his feet touching the ground. No noise, no crowd, just him moving slowly but strong, like every move got deep meaning. I just stood there, watching him like I never saw something like that before.

You know, that moment confuse me small. How can somebody be so calm and strong same time? Me, I always thought being strong means to fight hard, talk loud, show power. But that man was not fighting anything, still I could feel his strength. Like peace was his own kind of weapon.

After that day I think about it many times. Life be like that too, right? We try too hard, we stress, we rush everything, and we think that’s what makes us strong. But sometimes the real power dey inside the calm. The time you stop, breathe, and let things flow small. Strength and calm be like dance you move forward, then you pause. You fight small, then you flow small. If you use too much strength, you break. If you too calm, you lose. But if you balance both, you shine.

I start trying it in my own life. When I get angry, I no react fast again. I just walk small, breathe, and think. When I dey work too much, I rest small. Funny thing, once I stop forcing everything, things begin work better.

Korea teach me that lesson without even saying word. From their people, you see it the discipline, the respect, the peace. Even in how they bow, how they move, there’s a deep quiet power. Strength no always loud. Sometimes it’s soft, humble, but strong pass anything else.

So now when people ask me, “how you stay peaceful?” I just tell them learn the dance between strength and calm. It’s not easy, but once you feel that rhythm, life start make sense small small.
