Been a Bit

I can't believe it has been like two weeks since I have posted or even been activ on Hive. Time flies when you are bogged down in administrative stuff.

The good thing is that most of the paper work and online forms that need filledout are finished for starting my business. At least what I am aware of. Seems everytime I think it is done, something else pops up.

We are now entering fall here and it is so nice to start habving some decent temperatures. Being able to open up the windows in the house and letting in fresh air is something I do look forward to when it is fall and spring.

Sadly some have not had such a good fall here in the U.S. and my thoughts and prayers, for what good they are, go with them.

Mother nature is grand and can be magnificent most of the time, but occasionally lets us now that she is boss and will put us in our place real quick.

It is just another reminder of how my house needs to be better prepared for emergencies. We used to be prepared with extra food, water, go-bags, and the like. However, over the years we have become complacent. It is when you become complacent that you get the whammys. Not sure about you, but I don't like not being prepared for whammys.

All that said, I do hope all of you have made it through the last few weeks unscathed by the wrath of mother nature. I am sure their are some and if you know of any donations being taken here on Hive, let me know.

Today is going to be a busy day for appointments. Have the eye doctor this morning and go the the VA hostpital this afternoon for an appointment. I usually don't look forward to these appointments, but the weather being what it is, it will be nice to get out.

Tomorrow a VEteran friend is picking me up and we are putting out collection boxes at businesses for the Toys for Tots campaign. Then Saturday we are doing a fund raiser for the same. It should be a nice weather for both and I am looking forward to hanging out with good company.

NOt much else to talk about for now. You would think after two weeks I would, but it really has been uneventful with nothing but boring administrative red tape stuff. Glad it is finally over. At least I think it is.

Hoping to share some silver coinage in my next post. Got to clear that table as the old lady is on my ass again.

My buddy recently bought a new piece of property for his business and it seems like every time he turns around the city is requiring something new from him. I think he is getting frustrated. We've had the windows open for the past three weeks straight. We actually might have to start closing them soon. It was 63 in the house this morning when we woke up!

Luckily I have no brick and mortar to worry about. Everything is remote for me, but still lots of paperwork with the state, and then to do business with federal government is a fiasco of online shitshow.

I love having the windows open, even when there is the chill in the air. At least least for a while. 63 is perfect for me, I could dig that.

Good luck with all of that. 63 is a little chilly for me. If I was able to stay in bed it would be one thing, but when I have to get up at 4 AM, it sucks!

Two weeks! That's a long un. I haven't been about as I am on holiday 😃😃

Yeah, I am slacking bad, no excuses really. I should have made time, but didn't.

Hope your holiday has been good.

Ach, sometimes there is slack others not. You're still here.

There holiday is fab, still on the first week!

Best wishes on your business I hope the worst for prepping for it is done. Oh fall, love the temps and love conserving energy by opening the house up. Another great thing is the fall food, been craving for some good ole chili. Your right mother nature can be mean and lets not forget about those that have to deal with it in the worst way. Great your getting out to do some charity with a fellow veteran friend! Also hope you get a good bill of health slip for your appointments. Take care, weekend almost here!

Yeah, worst for the admin stuff is behind me I think.

Fall is great, I am hoping to get some fishing in eventually. Oh yes, the chilli and other hot soups are awesome, love it when the wife cooks up big pots of them and we eat on em for days.

Fall (or autumn) is when I enjoy the Spanish house the most. Keeps me away from depression!

Yes, I lovethe fall and spring. I am especially loving this one because I am finally feeling like getting out and about.

How's that paperwork treating you? I hope it's all squared away. I hope things went well at the VA, doctors appointments at the VA can be a nightmare at times...

Good idea to get that food storage and the go bags ready, you never know. The way things are going we may get sucked into World War 3 when some idiot makes one bad call...

How did the Toys for Tots go?

The papperwork and online forms are all done. Va appointments are going okay, I have a damn abdominal hernia now. Waiting on a CT scan for it. Anyway, other than that I am fine and staying busier than hell with Toys for Tots and getting the business going.

Hope you are doing okay.
