Algo tradicional para esta fecha era ver a la gran mayoría de las personas pintando sus hogares, para luego poner con decoraciones, la llegada de la navidad en sus casas, por eso yo cuando veo una casa decorada soy de las que dice: "aquí, ya llego la navidad", muchas de estas tradiciones se debían a que para estos tiempos las mayoría de las empresas pagan las utilidades, las cuales en su momento alcanzaban para arreglar los hogares, cambiar el color de la pintura o retocar, comprar los tradicionales estrenos para muchos, los regalos de los niños y hasta para el tradicional intercambio de regalos, que épocas aquellas, aunque la crisis que nos invadió cambio todo esto, algo esta cambiando porque este año, después de varios sin verlo, ya hay personas retomando algunas de estas tradiciones, porque se ven pintado algunas casas, también ambientándola para las festividades y el centro abarrotado de mucha gente, como tenía tiempo sin ver.

Para mi familia como muchas otras más aquí en Venezuela, una tradición muy importante es la unión para la realización de la cena navideña, esta ni la crisis pudo evitarla, tengo desconocimiento de como surgió, pero desde que tengo uso de razón siempre ha estado presente en nuestra, aunque se inicio en casa de mi abuela donde hacíamos acto de presencia tanto hijos como nietos y cada vez éramos más😅, ya que mi abuela tuvo 13 hijos😂, pero desde la muerte de mi amada abuela😳, cada quien la empezó hacer en su núcleo familiar. Mi mamá en este caso nos asigna a cada uno de sus 5 hijos lo que le toca comprar y nos reunimos para la elaboración de las trabajosas, pero deliciosas hallacas. Aquí cada quien realiza una función en el proceso.

Algo que también es importante en nuestra familia, es recibir la llegada del nuevo año en donde este mi mamá, compartiendo la tradicional cena, agradeciendo el año que se va y esperando el que vendrá, algo que mi mamá acostumbraba para que usáramos este último día, era comprarnos ropa interior amarilla😅, según para la buena suerte😂tradición que yo evado ahora, ya que ese color no me gusta para mi ropa interior. Amo compartir con mi mamá y mis hermanos siempre y más en esta fecha donde la unión familiar se hace sentir, aunque este año con la tristeza de tener a mis hijos lejos, esperando volver a compartir estos días con ellos muy pronto.

Puedo decir que lo de la decoración no va conmigo, pero disfruto de ver a las personas motivadas en esto, pero desde que mis hijos pequeños hicieron su preparación para su primera comunión, curso que dura aproximadamente 1 año, en la localidad donde vivíamos, los padres también debían recibir estas clases, aunque ya la tengan, allí supe de una tradición importante para los creyentes y que muchos no la realizaban, en estos tiempos de adviento, tiempo de reflexión y espera para la llegada de Jesús el redentor, cuyo símbolo es la Corona de Adviento, y este año me motive no solo a realizarla esta tradición para los creyentes, si no elaborarla yo misma, con material de desecho, a pesar de que tuve muchos tropiezos en el camino, gracias al apoyo y la orientación de mi amado @alinares, todo salió bien y quede enamorada de mi trabajo, aunque la manualidad no es mi fuerte.

Painting and decorating homes.
In Canada many tend to decorate homes with strings of colorful lights and figures symbolic of the Christmas season. I live on the West Coast so I don't really get much snow but plenty of rain. It would be great if I can get a white snowy Christmas.
