Haciendo un pequeño recorrido por la comunidad me encontré con esta bella iniciativa, de una vez me llamó muchísimo la atención y acá estoy dejando mi participación con mucho cariño para ustedes... Las interrogantes para esta iniciativa son las siguientes:
1. ¿Por qué crees que la sociedad da tanto valor a la belleza cuando no tiene ningún propósito funcional?
Hoy en día vivimos en una sociedad en dónde la belleza exterior lo es prácticamente todo... Esto lo podemos ver en casi todos los aspectos de la vida cotidiana, lo vemos en los concursos de bellezas, en la búsqueda de trabajo, en las relaciones amorosas, en fin, en muchos aspectos se toma muy en cuenta la belleza exterior de la persona, dejando a un lado su mayor belleza, "la cuál es la belleza interior"...
Desde mi punto de vista, puedo decir que la sociedad le da más valor a lo exterior porque es lo primero que podemos ver y es lo que primero llama la atención; lo que está a la vista sorprende desde un primer momento y es por eso que vendemos estereotipos ilógicos como medidas y tallas de una persona, y esto no dede de ser así, porque la verdadera belleza la encontramos es en los sentimientos, en la educación, en los conocimientos, en la cultura y en la capacidad de saber sobresalir ante cualquier situación; es lamentable que mayormente solo podamos ver y calificar a las personas a simple vista por su belleza y no dejamos que los demás nos demuestren su belleza interior...
Pienso que la cultura de ver las cosas deben cambiar y ya no debemos dejarnos de llevar por ninguna condición de belleza, ni por ningunas reglas de la sociedad. Debemos ser más empáticos, debemos de respetar y de aceptar la belleza de cada persona porque todos somos bellos, todos tenemos una belleza única tanto exterior, cómo interiormente.
2. ¿En qué trabajo serías absolutamente terrible?
A lo largo de mi vida he trabajado en muchas partes y de muchas cosas... Soy de profesión Ingeniero de Sistemas desde hace más de 10 años y tengo 7 años sin ejercer... pero a pesar de las diferentes adversidades de la vida le he puesto muchas ganas y he realizado de todo, desde hacer helados en mi casa para vender, hasta trabajar de manicurista y arreglar cabellos desde mi hogar también... Nunca le he tenido miedo al trabajo, para mí todos son honrados y todos tienen su grado de complejidad, solo hay que saber adaptarse a cada uno y siempre dar lo mejor de nosotros.
Yo he sido Ingeniero, he sido profesora en universidades, he sido comerciante de ropa y accesorios, he vendido helados, tortas, he sido manicurista, peluquera, de todo yo he querido trabajar en mi vida y siempre he dado lo mejor de mí... Por eso desde mi perspectiva no creo que ningún trabajo sea totalmente terrible para yo hacerlo.

The questions for this initiative are as follows:
1. Why do you think society places so much value on beauty when it serves no functional purpose?
Nowadays, we live in a society where external beauty is practically everything... We can see this in almost all aspects of daily life, we see it in beauty contests, in the search for work, in love relationships, in short, in many aspects the external beauty of the person is taken into account, leaving aside its greatest beauty, "which is the inner beauty"...
From my point of view, I can say that society gives more value to the exterior because it is the first thing we can see and it is what first attracts attention; what is in sight surprises from the first moment and that is why we sell illogical stereotypes as measures and sizes of a person, and this should not be so, because the true beauty is found in feelings, education, knowledge, culture and the ability to excel in any situation; It is unfortunate that we can only see and qualify people at a glance by their beauty and we do not let others show us their inner beauty...
I think that the culture of seeing things must change and we should no longer let ourselves be carried away by any condition of beauty, nor by any rules of society. We must be more empathetic, we must respect and accept the beauty of each person because we are all beautiful, we all have a unique beauty both externally and internally.
2. What job would you be absolutely terrible at?
Throughout my life I have worked in many places and in many things... I am a Systems Engineer for more than 10 years and I have 7 years without practicing... but despite the different adversities of life I have put a lot of desire and I have done everything from making ice cream at home to sell, to work as a manicurist and fix hair from my home too... I have never been afraid of work, for me they are all honest and all have their degree of complexity, you just have to know how to adapt to each one and always give the best of us.
I have been an engineer, I have been a teacher in universities, I have been a clothing and accessories merchant, I have sold ice cream, cakes, I have been a manicurist, a hairdresser, I have wanted to work in everything in my life and I have always given my best.... That's why from my perspective I don't think any job is totally terrible for me to do.

Hello @elecris05. I agree with your statement that society sells illogical stereotypes as measures of standard for people to live by. No, it's not right on any level. Numerous members have put forth their believes that true beauty is found on the inside.
That's nice that you feel that you would not be terrible at any job there is.

Hola, es verdad lo que dices acerca de la belleza, es considerada para muchas personas como la carta de presentación, pero al final, lo que de verdad tiene valor es la belleza interior, como dice una canción por ahi, " mira la esencia y no las apariencias"
