¡Hola queridas Damas de Hive! Espero que se encuentren todas muy bien. Otra semana nos encuentra en este concurso comunitario con preguntas de @elizabethbit acerca de la Navidad. En esta ocasión me centraré en la segunda opción.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta disfrutar durante las fiestas y por qué?
Me gusta disfrutar de algo tan simple como la compañía de mi familia. Las fiestas son un momento donde nos juntamos todos y nos ponemos al día, además de disfrutar de rica comida típica de estas fechas y sentir el espíritu festivo. Sé que a algunos les estresan las reuniones familiares porque quizá surjan peleas o tengas que ver a ese familiar que siempre hace preguntas incómodas, pero en mi caso disfruto de todo eso porque tengo el pensamiento de que ya se nos va otro año y no sé qué nos depara el próximo, no sé si ese familiar esté con nosotros la próxima vez. Así que me gusta aprovechar la ocasión para tomar recuerdos mentales y guardarlos para siempre. Quizá sea un poco extremista ese pensamiento, pero las navidades me suelen poner nostálgica y reflexiva, y los comienzos de año son buenos, pero vienen acompañados de mucha incertidumbre.

También disfruto mucho de ver películas navideñas, ya sé que se pueden ver en cualquier época si uno así lo quiere, pero la realidad es que no se disfrutan igual que cuando es el momento indicado. A esto se suma leer libros románticos navideños y escuchar música del estilo, porque sí, si vamos a levantar el espíritu lo haré a lo grande, me voy a empapar de la navidad y todas sus festividades. Amo ver las decoraciones de los demás y disfrutar de un aire más optimista por un rato. Aunque no digo que no sean algo estresantes también, pero en estas fechas intento estar lo más positiva posible para terminar el año con mi mejor versión.
Bueno amigos, hasta acá mi reflexión acerca de este tema. Espero que les haya gustado y los invitó a participar a todos los que me lean.

Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all doing well. Another week finds us in this community contest with questions from @elizabethbit about Christmas. This time, I will focus on the second option.
What is your favorite thing to enjoy during the holiday season, and why?
I like to enjoy something as simple as the company of my family. The holidays are a time when we all get together and catch up, as well as enjoy delicious traditional food and feel the festive spirit. I know that some people find family gatherings stressful because arguments may arise or you may have to see that relative who always asks uncomfortable questions, but in my case, I enjoy all of that because I think that another year is coming to an end and I don't know what the next one will bring, I don't know if that relative will be with us next time. So, I like to take advantage of the occasion to make mental memories and keep them forever. Maybe that's a bit extreme, but Christmas usually makes me nostalgic and reflective, and the beginning of the year is great, but it comes with a lot of uncertainty.

I also really enjoy watching Christmas movies. I know you can watch them at any time of year if you want to, but the truth is that they're not as enjoyable as when it's the right time of year. On top of that, I read romantic Christmas books and listen to Christmas music, because yes, if we're going to lift our spirits, I'm going to do it in a big way. I'm going to soak up Christmas and all its festivities. I love seeing other people's decorations and enjoying a more optimistic atmosphere for a while. I'm not saying it isn't stressful too, but at this time of year I try to be as positive as possible so I can end the year on a high note.

You could have taken a page right out of my book with what you enjoy! I too enjoy the Christmas novels, movies, music and just all of it! As for the family; ours is small but this year, we have the addition of my first granddaughter to the mix, so it will be magical!
